Has anyone seen ?You Were Never Really Here? ..? I haven?t been following closely so surely it?s been mentioned here.

In spite of having very different motivations the parallels between the lead roles were striking.

As dour as ?Joker? just in a different vein.

I just watched it again -- figured I'd fast forward to the good parts -- got mesmerized and watched the whole dame thing. It really is a great movie. It really is a horror movie -- an old fashioned monster movie. And he was much more brutal than I remember.

I was worried the film wouldn't be as captivating on a small screen.

^^^ Yes it is!! i love the imax format for this movie, makes the cinematography just as good as seeing it in the theater, i?m 75% through with it and processing this again!!

Man the laughing at the comedy show was hard to watch. It?s hard watching someone?s dreams just die like that

i have been binging the Larry Sanders show and when the brutality happens live on tv, i took what i learned from that show and felt the tension and awkwardness from that scene to a different level!! but Franklin goes on a whole another level just for tv ratings

Was his make up ever like that in the movie, with the "triangles" over his left eye much bigger and sharper than the right eye? I wasn't paying that close attention.

This movie looks beautiful at home. I think the theater projectors in my area are dim, because it's way more colorful on my TV - especially the shot of him before he dances out of the curtains on the Murray show. It was so rich and blue.

It's a depressing movie, and I have to be in the right frame of mind to venture back for another viewing.

However, having watched the depressingly bad The Rise of Skywalker I'm now in the mood for a lift - and Joker might just be it.
