The Clown Prince of Crime
Super Freak
That stairs scene is probably Phoenix's career defining moment. Come to think of it, it might be his career defining role. It's definitely Ledger’s, Nicholson, and Romero's defining role.
Funny how long stair cases connect Exorcist with Joker.
Arthur needs to come down the stairs like this in the sequel, lol.
Jesus man Wor-Gar is like the most sour grape on the vine I swear lol

Jack might beg to differ - but then so did Sir Alec!

For a guy who supposedly doesn?t like the limelight I think he?s actually enjoying it this time out even though he shows up to half of his press events drunk but I lol at the female cinematographer bullying him on set calling him a *** lol
It was pretty freaking evil of Disney/ABC/Kimmel to surprise him with that footage I think he was genuinely surprised and more importantly embarrassed by it.
I don?t believe that it was just a prank onset I think she was really calling him a ***.

That's freaking hilarious and you know Joaquin could do it without any trick photography, lol.
He loves the Joker character, unlike Sir Alec hating SW.
In the DVD extras he talked extensively about his love of the character as a child and he was heavily invested in creating the look of the character in the film. It's also Jack's biggest movie and paycheck, so I'm sure that helps.
He's got other iconic movies and iconic roles, along with like 14 Oscar nominations, countless famous catchphrases (Here's Johnny, can't handle the truth..etc) but Joker is his best known role.
Good points. Was he *really* annoyed when Ledger was cast, or was that a media beat-up?
MTV: What do you think of another actor, Heath Ledger, playing the Joker in next summer's "The Dark Knight"?
Nicholson: Let me be the way I'm not in interviews. I'm furious. I'm furious. [He laughs.] They never asked me about a sequel with the Joker. I know how to do that! Nobody ever asked me.
MTV: It was never brought up?
Nicholson: No. It's like, in any area, you can't believe the reasons things do or don't happen. Not asking me how to do the sequel is that kind of thing. Maybe it's not a mistake. Maybe it was the right thing, but to be candid, I'm furious.
MTV: I'm surprised to hear you sounding competitive about a role like that.
Nicholson: Well, the Joker comes from my childhood. That's how I got involved with it in the first place. It's a part I always thought I should play.
MTV: Will you see the new film?
Nicholson: I'm not inclined to watch it because of what I said. But if it's a good movie, I'll catch up with it somewhere. I don't think they ever really captured Tim Burton's spirit [since he stopped being involved]. They kind of drove the franchise into the ground. Tim Burton's a genius. He had the right take on it. That's why I did the movie. I did the movie based on a single conversation with him. We both come from the cartoon world originally. We had similar ideas. Tim said [the Joker] should have a humorous dark side to him. [Burton is] one of the great moviemakers. I think the world of him. He's the most unassuming man. And he doesn't feel pressure. That's what I love about him. Once he's in there, he's smiling making the movie. That's it!
And then Bruce Wayne puts on a clown mask and tackles him through a window which ends up killing them both, lol.
Well JAWS I also have seen it twice.
I actually appreciated it more on 2nd viewing.
However.
It is an interesting movie that exists in a very unique prism.
Why do I say this.
Because if you pivot that prism ever so slightly just a few degrees one way the movie completely crumbles into a mess.
A mess how.
Like this:
A whiny bitchy cacky Joker
A Joker with baby mama issues
A Joker too heavily impacted by every day problems that doesn?t turn billions of others into whiny babies and criminals.
A Joker too heavily dependent on others.
A Joker who would?ve just stayed in bed moping with no plan had Murray not called him. Joker luck get it.
Too much of an on the nose rip off from other movies.
Another story element ripped out from the TDKR comic playbook.
And i?ll leave the worst for last, a movie that just might entirely be in his head, yikes!
Ok now pivot that prism ever so slightly the other way and BAM a freaking masterpiece!
A gorgeous movie!
A well acted tour de force by JP!
A realistic grind of a story that is easier for audiences to relate with and also be affected by it unlike MCU cosmic events.
Some truly amazing personal set pieces I mean truly jaw dropping specific scenes!
Cohesive enough to withstand repeat viewings.
Ok it?s your prism you twist and turn it however you damn want now if you please I must return to raining pee on Clowns and Wor-Gars Joker parade lol
Joker 2 is so not going to live up to Joker 1 or even worse they don?t do a sequel and this movie was a complete big waste of time lol
Oh and WB is going from Joker to Birds of Prey lol
