Right. I saw that he was reading his own comic, which is why I implied that had Zappa been holding one of his albums in his own toilet shot it would have been a more interesting connection.

At the rate they're releasing these pics, I wouldn't be at all surprised if we saw a trailer pretty soon (of course, depending on who you ask, we may have, already, with the "Extra" Interview ). You can tell just how long these guys wanted to make this movie by the sheer volume of content we're seeing in such a short period of time. I can't believe we're less than a year away.

I agree with you. It looks like they're using a lot of material from the Joe Kelly run which gives me hope, and the test footage was pretty good. I'm hoping they steer away from the Daniel Way Style DP and go more for the Joe Kelly or Cable and Deadpool Version of the character

I totally agree and I am very hopeful. As long as the production team steers away from trying to only please an immature audience, they will be ok.

I suspect the R will be more about gobs of bloody violence and some colorful language. We're not going to see Bob, or anyone else, getting railed by a sadist mobster.

But if you're worried about an immature audience, look no further than the promo pic of DP on the toilet to see the level of humor we're likely to get.

I can handle some dark and slapstick humor. Matter of fact, I expect it. The only thing that worries me is that it would become the focal point of the entire movie. A Deadpool film like that is a total waste of time IMO.

I don't have an illusion it's going to be a masterpiece of cinema by any means, but it has promise of being a good movie because the people involved all seem to care about getting this done right, so they're not just going to resort to f-word laden fart jokes and dudebro boob obsession. I think you can rest easy.
The little tastes we've gotten so far are very promising.
