This is the 'rebooted timeline' present day Colossus Much like this is a 'rebooted timeline' present day Deadpool. If you can take that this Deadpool is different than the one in Origins, then lets do the same for Colossus shall we?

I want Deadpool to establish a new future for the X-Men that gets away from the Singerverse. If Colossus and the goth girl are any indication, that's likely Fox's plan too.

Put Gambit in this universe as well. Throw in Cable and other characters who weren't spotlighted in the original films who can easily be rebooted for an X-Force, New Mutants and Deadpool 2 films.

Cannonball, Domino, Magik, Hope Summers, X-23 all seem like good contenders who would be marketable for the new X films.

I would love to see Domino, Magik, Cannonball and X-23 in future movies set in the current time.

Unfortunately, they put Archangel and Pyslocke in the 80s, so I don't see them translating well for the new Deadpool verse

I think Disney is kind of slowly getting it back thanks to the ff being so bad. They are in talks with an xmen related show after all. I mean you can't really hold down deadpool he'll break the fourth wall and reference things anyway. The slogan for this movie is a reference to spiderman anyway

They ain't getting X-Men of Deadpool back. Fox may trade FF for the X-Men TV shows but they won't give anything X-Men away as there's no pressing need.

DOFP Colossus is the present day Colossus.

He's obviously different now because of the new timeline in effect. Mystique revealing Mutantkind had repercussions around the world so it's no stretch to think Mama and Papa Colossus moved to Russia and spawn him him there instead of the US hence different colossus.

Visually he's just bigger thanks to CGI

Well didn't they show Colossus with Kitty at the end of DOFP? Wouldn't modern day Colosssus still be the same old actor?

Looks like they are retconning Colossus completely and redoing him. If that's the case, they should do that for all the second tier characters that they think they can get away with.
