Well they finally fixed the lighting on the windows but why is the notice sign lit?

Ok this is a quote from a guy who is obsessed about authentic UK Police Boxes:

Without trying to sound like a complete geek , the phone panel on the real Mackensie-Trench Police boxes was back lit from the internal lighting system... so this new feature is technically correct... just a small niggle that they didn't make the dimensions of the box match the real thing...

So there you go. :lol

For anyone who is interested (not many people), the Doctor will be appearing in The Sarah Jane Adventures tomorrow, and not just a cameo, but a guest appearance...

Intresting results from the latest poll in Doctor Who magazine to determine the order in which fans like the 200 stories so far,

Top 10,
1."Warriors Gate"
2."Inferno"
3."The Deadly Assassin"
4."Horror of Fang Rock"
5."The Caves of Androzani"
6."The Ark in Space"
7."The Power of the Daleks"
8."Genesis of the Daleks"
9."The Seeds of Doom"
10."The Talons of Weng-Chiang"

Tom Baker 7
Jon Pertwee 1
Peter Davison 1
Patrick Troughton 1

Bottom 10
191."The Lazarus Experiment"
192."New Earth"
193."Boom Town"
194."Time-Flight"
195."Time & the Rani"
196."Kinda"
197."The Happiness Patrol"
198."Dragonfire"
199."Voyage of the Damned"
200."Love & Monsters"

David Tennant 4
Sylvester McCoy 3
Peter Davison 2
Christopher Eccleston 1

The highest placed Nu-Who stories were,

46."The Empty Child/Doctor Dances"
60. "The Impossible Planet/Satan Pit"

So Tom rules, Tennant has 4 of the worst stories ever and nothing from RTD's era makes the top 45 :)

Whilst I can't deny my delight at seeing the current era fare so badly I am actually shocked as given the overwhelming bias towards Nu-Who these days I figured most of the top 20 would be from the current era.

I think I would agree with the top ten stories. I strongly disagree with Eccleston being the worst doctor though. Colin Baker and Paul McGann beat him? How that crap is that possible?

IMO Eccleston had all the tools to become the very best but got the job at a time when the format of the show went in such a poor direction,

I'd loved to have seen his Doctor in some old school 4 to 6 part serials with the emphasis placed on the characters dialogue instead of the special effects.

And even though I've never seen a full story from either Colin or Sylvester I can't imagine them at their absolute worst being more annoying than you know who ;)

That top 10 has some great stories in there, I've not seen "Caves of Androzani" but Robert Holmes was the best writer the show has ever had so I'm sure it's awesome even with Davison as the Doctor.

"The Seeds of Doom" is another of Tom's that I'm waiting to get a DVD release of and I've not seen "The Power of the Daleks" either but like most of Pat's stories it's probably been lost for good :(
