BBC Synopsis of the series finale just released:

The Doctor is gone, the Tardis has been destroyed, and the universe is collapsing. The only hope for all reality is a little girl who still believes in stars, as this series of Doctor Who concludes with an episode written by Steven Moffat.

"But don't worry kids, everything will all be resolved in the last 5 minutes when the Doctor finds a magic switch, Rory will come back to life, all the bad people will evaporate and the Extreme Makeover team will rebuild the TARDIS" :wink1:

Or it might be OK.

Except that
the production team are redesigning the console room from what I've heard because of how difficult it has been to capture on film.

I just reread your post and I just repeated what you just said. Sorry about that. :lol

Awesome!, I think the current one looks way too cluttered so if the redesign gives us a simpler, Classic style interior then bring it on!.

It has grown on me but I agree. My first impressions were a slight expectation to see Oompa Loompas coming streaming down the stairs.

I like some of the details, the ketchup & mustard dispensers in amongst all the electronic gadgets were amusing but overall there's too much going on and it can distract from what the characters are doing.

Id like to see the tardis closer to either the previous 9-10 state or 7-8's tardis, the classic tardis interior was plain and boring visually. Have to admit although i like the scale of the new interior its damn ugly! why orange? its bigger on the inside, travels time and space and it doubles up as a playground for the young'uns!

i liked McGanns because it suited the character a bit more, i always thought if he spent all his time in the TARDIS it would have more of a homely/study feel. It was elegant yet showed it more of a professor's studie something this new tardis lacks completley, i have no idea what kind of look they were aiming for but its childish.

I have just seen that ForbiddenPlanet has all the Doctor figures in one set up for Pre-order

Brilliant! i have placed my order, saves my trip around ebay trying to buy them all up and just close enough to my birthday to count as a present lol.

I have to say, that was quite easily the worst episode i have ever seen. Next weeks however looks kind of interesting but im quite shocked at how much i was put of by this weeks diabolical display, felt more of a vehicle to get fat faced watse of time and effort James Corden on TV than a Doctor Who episode. just my opinion though some might enjoy it..

Well I had no prior exposure to James Corden and I liked the episode. It was a good decompression episode between the heaviness of last weeks and the start of the finale next week. Was it the best, no. Was it the worst? Absolutely not. That still goes to Love and Monsters.

ah yes love and monsters, good shout! and i didn't like that either...This one and love and monsters for the worst episodes? still id give it to this weeks episode because Peter Kay > James Corden

Right but that seems to be based on the baggage you associate with said actor. Having not seen him in anything before, I had no like or dislike for him.

il shall reword it, based other than on my biased hatred for fat faced James Corden i thought this weeks Who was awful lol i think the whole episode seemed off for me, the episode seemed so poorly written after last week that it really stood out, no way should the 11th doctor be shoved in that situation, why suddenly does a headbutt impart information? and dont hate me bcm but i think the 10th doctor would of been more sutable to that episode because his personality was a bit more human, the dynamics would of been a bit more comfortable where the 11th seemed too alien to be accepted as quickly as he did, i mean how did he suddenly get the job? i wish i could get a new job that fast, as a temp filling in for one morning only. safe to say il only ever watch that episode once and scrath it from my memory. but Next week with all the mention of those bad guys looks to be the start of something exciting! i just hope it lives up to the hype its been building.

Don't need to get snippy but when someone just hates an actor it's not hard to spot. All I'd ask is a more reasoned response for discussion sake which you eventually gave. At least there is now a reason on why you didn't like it vs "I hated the actor" which is pretty much all I heard at first. Could agree though - this would likely have been suited better to 10 than 11. Still, not terrible.

yeah good point i do see what you mean, red mist i suppose its hard to give reasonable explanations beyond the fact you dislike the actor when your in a certain frame of mind.
