According to Wikipedia and an article in The Guardian not untill late 2011. I missed 90% of the first series, i cant stand Benedict Cumberbatch's voice.

The Aztecs was a great story in the end, Barbra learning that she couldnt change time and the Doctor falling for a woman and getting engaged, it kind of made me feel better about Nu-Whos romances. Susan is still a wasted character role as she disapears and only shows up to turn the plot over.

The TV Movie is pretty much total pants except i did enjoy McGann more the second time around, he had a youthful energy Davidson was lacking, Eric Roberts is worse than Simm and turns it almost into a televised panto although i have memorys of watching it when it aired and being terrified of snakes crawling into my mouth as i slept. I appreciate that RTD didn't continue with the 'half-human' bull.

Nice image!

This year's gone so quick already that it's not long before the first part of series 6 will be upon us. Hope it's a good one as last year's was the real revival for me.

N2K,
McGann seemed really into the character from the off whereas Davison was always just "there" until his last story.

It wasn't really his fault as he could only work with the material he was given so I think the production team were more to blame,
JNT had the idea of trying a lot of new writers which in principle was a decent one but the trouble was most of them sucked.

I think Eric Roberts worked OK as an American style villain, but obviously he was nothing compared to Roger Delgado or Anthony Ainley.

Looks like that image is just a small portion of a much wider shot. Unfortunately, I can't find a high quality version.

All I know is that I want a poster of that (minus the air time text).

He has already completed one story that has been out for quite a few months.

He's done "Hornets Nest" for BBC Audios which was released in late 2009....I got all 5 parts for Christmas that year and aside from sounding a bit rusty in the first part Tom was soon firing on all cylinders and all these years later he still plays the Doctor better than anyone else.

The second 5 part story for BBC Audios is called "Demon's Quest" and was released in 2010.

It seems Tom enjoyed doing them so much he finally became open to working with Big Finish and he announced it on his website forum before BF confirmed it themselves.

Did you catch the red nose special B? I just watched it and thought it was a pretty funny and charming little sketch.

(I didn't realize there was a difference between BBC Audios and Big Finish.) :panic:

Didn't know there was one to be honest as I never watch Comic Relief......I have a problem with TV charity appeals that consist of overpaid celebrities putting a big guilt trip on the audience to part with their cash.

That said I would gladly donate my entire Who collection and what bit of cash I have if I was allowed to punch RTD in the face without any repercussions :lol

Apparently Matt Smith has confirmed he'll be staying on for a 3rd series.........with any luck he'll get some decent material to work with by then.

I hope so. There wasn't a single episode last year that I had any signifigant desire to watch again.

There was some dodgy episodes especially 2+3 (Beast Below and Victory of the Daleks) which were just diabolical 3 more so than 2. I also hated the Lodger but that was thanks to Englands over-hyped media hogger James Corden who i cant stand one iota (I cant believe he has been brought back  ) and the Vampires in Venice episode was anti-climatic.
But the Pandorica Opens, Big Bang, Time of Angels, Eleventh Hour and Amy's Choice were great little episodes which were fun. The best episode i had seen in a long time was the Van Gogh one which i found quite moving, enough to see past the giant turkey monster.

Aside from "Victory of the Daleks", "Amy's Choice" and "Vincent & The Doctor" I thought the last series was as forgettable as the previous regime's attempt at Doctor Who and only made watchable by Matt Smith's performance as the Doctor.

Considering the Moffat lovers on the Who fansites were claiming a new Golden Age would occur when he took over I think it's been more than proven that he's RTD version 2.0 especially if he's bringing that useless tub of lard Corden back.
