I like ow Moffat pretty much says that he couldnt change the show as not to scare off viewers gained during the last era and how he plans to throw it out of the window now Matt has been established. I cannot wait for this new series i think it looks fantastic with an atmosphere not really present in the bubblegum niceness of previous series.

That's interesting that we're going to get "The Silence" in eps 1&2. I figured they'd drag that out all season...

I read

as "the Gingers in 5 & 6" the first time through. :lol

Well from what I hear something very important happens to the Doctor in those episode, something that will set in motion a chain of events that will be far reaching for Amy.

If it actually happens I will be suprised.........but pleased because the show has lacked a feeling of "anything can happen" for far too long.

We know the Doctor will always win but it's still fun to pretend he might not for a while, the modern show has been way too "safe" in that respect.

I can sort of see the reluctance as if they killed off a companion Adric style parents would probably complain and there'd be a newspaper headline saying "Doctor Who scarred my child" followed by details of a lawsuit but now the show is firmly restablished in the public consciousness there should hopefully be more room to manouvere in terms of throwing the audience the occasional curveball.

Well I already know some of what goes on in the first 6 episodes, and I have to say It's confused the hell outta me. On the face of it It reads like bad fanfic.

I'm still hoping for the best though.

Bad fan-fic?

So River will be Rose who turns out to be Romana's daughter and they all save Gallifrey and the Time Lords by utilising the gas from Slitheen farts to power a Sonic Planet Saving Device which Captain Jack tries to seduce because he's that kind of guy.

Then Absolutely the Last Daleks Ever.....Honest! show up and things REALLY get intresting :)

Another good one was that Amy would turn out to be Donna because.............they both had red hair :lol

I read in today's Times that the first episode comprises of the Doctor, Amy, Rory attending a picnic that turns out to be a....
Funeral for one of them
So one character is going to
die
as we knew. But it cant be
Song, as she died earlier after she first met Ten

Well do you want to know who dies in the first episode?

I was told It's going to be The Doctor.

If that's the case the "time can be rewritten" card will inevitably be played to resolve things.

Apparently the Silence have a similar kind of gimmick to the Weeping Angels as you have to keep looking at them otherwise bad stuff happens...........with the Silence you forget all knowledge of them.

From what I can gleam, no weirdly enough.

It has more to do with somebody's unborn child. After that It gets all very confusing

I seriously hope the rumors I have heard aren't true that
the Doctor really does die permanently and the clone Doctor just takes over as the new Doctor.
The show just won't feel the same for me, if that's the case. :monkey2
