thanks for sounding in MF
However I do believe that FB did get to HT as well as HT decided to post the official acknowledgement of the DX02 peeling and crooked head there as well as the emotional statement they made when addresing the IMBD headsculp issue.

Sadly there's too many wimps and ass kissers here to even take that stance. It's because of them we all suffer. Too busy praising them for their failures. "it's no big deal"

Thats not necessarily the case 100% of the time, bro. Some of us legitimately have no time to bother. I have a hectic job, i'm married and am almost dead when I get home from exhaustion. (Well at least in more recent times)

Now that being said it doesn't mean that having different priorities means that someone else in my position wouldn't have the extra push to take care of business. Am I pissed at HT's for the defect in the DX Batman? Of course. I just see sending back a body and then waiting almost 4-6 weeks for a replacement seems more inconvenient to me.

Truthfully it IS a big deal to me but not enough to spend extra effort rectifying.

Well, to use a line from Rocky, "be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody!".

While it may be dissappointing that some people are willing to accept this defect and just move along with love, that is their right, individuals still have power to take action, even it doesn't have a grand effect, if you really care about making a statement, you can do things and at the very least hold your head up high that you stood up for what you believe in. However, those not willing to go the routes you'd like can't be faulted because they're not doing what you want to. They could easily say, and on Facebook have, that the unhappy people should shut up so everyone else can move along enjoying the new stuff.

Everyone's perspective on this matter needs to be treated with respect, no matter how much you disagree with it.

The bottom line is, HOT TOYS are the ones who've wronged people in this matter and are the only ones to be blamed for anything, how people react to this is their choice.

Well, now I'm officially pissed by Hot Toys!!!!!

Sorry for keep you waiting!

After checking and inspection on your case, we are sorry to tell you that no replacement could be made as there may be slim chances of leakage.

Remarks: Please kindly noted that NOT all products have such problem, we will inspect each case in detail & ONLY provide replacement for serious damaged body due to oil leaking problem.

Hot Toys reserves final rights on all replacement requests.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your support for Hot Toys products!

Best regards,

SA/ Hot Toys

I can't believe it... 3 weeks waiting-time and now they don't want to replace it. What the ____!!!!

Bull____, bull____, bull____. How does that make you feel? It almost sounds like they're calling you a liar. Not all products have "such problem"? Uh, it looks to me like most of the batches came out WRONG in the beginning.

WTF???
Are they trying to say they are not replacing it because yours don't leak enough or because you insisting on a prefect one and they cannot guarantee it??

mine is not leaking a bit, it's leaking really 'well'. it goes even to the upper abs. and under the shoulder pads there are oil too, but it seems that they just don't want to replace more batmens. I don't know what they're thinking but this is a shame for them. I'm going to send them again a mail today, I do want a perfect quality figure for that money.

i think they say that i do not have the right of a replacement, because we should accept that there can be the chance of leaking.
and maybe they only change the body now if the abs plates are cracking due the oil or something...

man am i upset...

Keep pushing for it. Worse case at least I will call them to get what I want. The moment they realize they can get away with poor CS and safe money it will just get worse and worse

...I will respectfully bow out of this thread. I promise not to return. (Well unless mine leaks...)
I am breaking my promise for one reason: I realize that my "final" post here was lacking an apology.

I made the following post a while back:
I don't disagree with any of that. And you have my sincere empathy. I would probably be seething with blind rage in your situation. :lecture

But keep in mind that the DCD batch will be huge. And if the figure really is fixed, a lot of us are going to be whooping it up. People get excited about their collectibles as you know.

Just remember that I am not somehow a symbol of Hot Toys crooked business practices.

If it really is fixed, try and be glad for us. :)

When I posted the highlighted sentence I had in mind a favorite quote from Paul: "Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep."

As I said:
Both sides should have empathy for the other side.

That is my goal.

This was all said with the best of intentions, but I see the flaw in my thinking. To expect those who are currently dealing with the leaky ab problem to "be glad" for those of us that (hopefully) do not have it is insensitive. It would be like a parent who is rejoicing over there new baby boy saying to a friend who is weeping over a stillborn child: 'hey, look at my beautiful baby!’ It just isn’t the right time.

My words did not come from feelings of entitlement and I did not mean to be insensitive. I was just excited, and I was promoting mutual empathy. But like Batman says: “It’s not who I am on the inside, but what I do that defines me.” This mistake on my part has been mentioned more than once, so it is clear that my intentions are immaterial. I was insensitive, and certainly careless, in my choice of words, and I can see that those words could be like twisting the thorn already in the side. For this I sincerely apologize.

Again, I truly hope that those afflicted with this problem, and especially those who have been dealt with unfairly by Hot Toys, can each find their own way to make peace with all of this.

I'm not exactly happy with my leaky abs, and I've got sympathy for those others who have the problem and who feel neglected by Hot Toys CS. But being upset doesn't mean that it makes economic sense for Hot Toys to do anything about it. That's been my perspective on the whole thing.

In any case, no need for people to get sensitive about things. You can be mad at Hot Toys, but don't get mad at those with different opinions from your own.

This is lame. You haven't had one replaced yet and you're getting rejected. Yet I'm not even getting a response from Hot Toys. It's like they are deliberately ignoring me, even after my second email to them.

Maybe thats why I'm being ignored to get refused.

But don't forget! You can't be mad at the others who're telling you you're wasting your time while defending HT's backstabbing because they're content with a flawed piece of decomposing garbage. And also, be happy for those who posted here that they waited to order the DCD release and you should praise them for it because in the end you shouldn't be allowed to rain on their parade...

Heh, yeah nam. It's epic isn't it.

God forbid it should hurt someone's feelings, awwwwwwwwwwwww.

Thats ____ing horrible. What the hell does that first line mean anyway?
Amazing they can use english so badly when it suits them.

I'm sorry for your situation man.
:(

I was about to send mine back to Toys2, but I got an email from HTs that mentions what was said before:

"Remarks: Please kindly noted that NOT all products have such problem, we will inspect each case in detail & ONLY provide replacement for serious damaged body due to oil leaking problem."

I don't know if I want to bother trying now because I have a feeling they'll just say it's fine and send it back. When you send them the figure for inspection, they don't want the belt, head etc and just want the main body. I noticed there's not really any leakage without the belt and I doubt HTs will put one on him when they do their inspection. I don't think it's worth sending in.
