Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - DX T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

What is it with the HT Terminator range? original T2 T800 has no minigun (still an excellent figure), T1 T800 and no AR18 (again still an excellent figure), T2 DX T800 and the HS is way off for a circa 1991 Arnie.
If they do a T1 Kyle Reese they'll probably give him an unmodified Ithaca 37 without the extended mag tube.

That's a hardcore fan right there!

I'd buy this figure without question if it came with a smashed out Cyberdyne office window diorama...its a DX, must have this included.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - DX T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

That would be a much better reason to get me to purchase this.

Exactly, there has to be enough presentation with this figure to be a stand alone figure that takes up a quarter section of my Detolf in order to really make it worth the purchase IMO.

I don't think you even get a cardboard backdrop with this.

Well we thought any exclusions on previous figures were because they were going to come with later figures. Turned out to be the case as far as the minigun and other Cyberdyne gear was concerned. Hopefully it'll be the case with the AR18 for T1.

Well i feel for those who are hoping for a BD since the MMS release.
I have the MMS and i love it (even if the HS is so so).
I was gonna sell it to fund my ENTERBAY 1/4, but when i checked it before selling it i fell in love with it again (it was my fisrt HT figure).

Now from the look of it HT's plan was to realase 3 version of Arnold, pre cyberdyne, cyberdyne shootout, post cyberdyne/steel mill bd (well they could still divide this in 2 figures if they want to really bust our balls).
So the BD is definitly coming.

Now i'm just waiting for Enterbay BD specs, if they release it with minugun and M79 to go with the non BD arnold 1/4 i'll be in heaven ^^

People say Dx03 was a weak dx because it came with very little but at least it was something new to look at, this is terrible waist of a dx and as of right now it feels like a figure many of us already have! it desperately needs a dio and battle damage to rectify itself but has hot toys ever changed a figure that much from proto to final product? ..I don't think they have and I don't think they will here.:(

I'm having that same problem regarding other figures I thought I could bring myself to sell. When they aren't in your sight its easy to say ''yeah, I'll sell that'', but then you pick them up to ready them for sale and your resolve disappears.

Which would be fine except they should not have included things like the sunglasses and shotgun with this release. They should have left those exclusive to MMS117 and kept this one purely Cyberdyne; instead including things like a fireaxe, gasmasks, the teargas grenade launcher, the endoskeleton arm & chip, the bomb detonator - all of those things in fact since there is only 1 headsculpt, a crappy recycled stand and no environment backdrop. And, since there would be no sunglasses, sculpt the hair normally on his head rather than making it look excessively tight on the sides so it can fit sunglasses. PERS and sunglasses seem to be a bit of a contradiction anyway.

I agree with the last part, I don't think HT will change anything with this figure, what we see is what we'll get. (which is okay with me) But saying this is a waste of a DX figure and that the DX 03 wasn't, is simply ridiculous:lol

Well I always felt pers would work well with an Mj figure and like I said that figure was still something new to look at, yes another Mj but still a pretty damn impressive tailoring and a nice figure to honor the late king of pop, but this figure as it stand is a waste of a dx, the only thing new here is the head sculpt( which I do like other then it having a mullet) and hot toys are just further demonstrating they are the company of milking licensees and re-releases.

How? The DX03 was a completely new look. It was far more deserving then this rehash.

Hot Toys is just following where they left off. It only makes sense for this figure to be the Cyberdyne version. I do think the likeness could be better, but how anyone could think a figure of arnold with a minigun is not as cool as Michael Jackson, is beyond me.:dunno
