the more I look at this, the more I like it and see more Arnold in this sculpt especially in the HI-Res pics. It looks the proper age to me versus the V1 where he looked a bit older. I still like the V1 more though, since the Galleria look is my favorite. only think I have to to is start to look for the rosebox and maybe the endo arm, but that may not be compatible with this new body.

I was watching T2 today and while not a must, I definitely think PERS will be good for this figure.

With that said, I've POed it and with my store credit at BBTS it only came to $170, which is what I payed for the original so I'm not losing any money

If any character needs PERS, it's the T-800. Cameron and Arnie speak about the eyes scanning like a shark in the making of T1, a technique he used in T2.

People say Dx03 was a weak dx because it came with very little but at least it was something new to look at, this is terrible waist of a dx and as of right now it feels like a figure many of us already have! it desperately needs a dio and battle damage to rectify itself but has hot toys ever changed a figure that much from proto to final product? ..I don't think they have and I don't think they will here.:(

Incorrect. When the Falconer Predator was first announced, it did not include the falcon. After much complaining, Hot Toys relented and added the falcon in the final product. So if you scream loud enough, Hot Toys just might listen.

Im sure HT is already planning a Full Fledged Battle Damaged version of T-800 in the future, so I really doubt they will upgrade/add any battle damage to this guy. A backdrop or diorama maybe. Something small, but to completely overhaul on the figure wont happen at this stage.

EDIT: What would make this set an even bigger "must have" is if they included the slight Battle Damage look head sculpt with this. Then the full final battle damaged look for the BD Steel Mill version.

Problem is, he gets that damage in the Cyberdyne lobby along with his chest being exposed, to be accurate, it's not as simple as a second head.

I understand that its "not as simple as an extra head", what Im saying is if HT wanted to make this release a "must have" for fans/collectors they could have thrown in ONE of the two Battle Damage head sculpt looks to push those on the fence over to the buying side.

You know most fans aren't that easily swayed. Without more damage than just to his head, it wouldn't be particularly accurate. Surely not accurate enough, even for many collectors who are on the fence. It'd be like half-assing it. Imagine Hot Toys announcing the semi-BD head and hundreds of collectors here and on their FB page asking, "What about his chest? Where's the teargas launcher?"

Sure as hell won't be a steel mill battle damaged T-800.

Yeah, HT for the most part has actually been wise in keeping each look self-contained - apart from the silliness of needlessly including sunglasses and shotgun with this figure.

I know someone mentioned it could be to recreate T2:Battle Across Time but for that you also need a silver and black Phase plasma rifle, no?

All that would be included in the 3rd release. Battle Damaged Steel Mill/Final Battle T-800. Where as that second Battle Damaged head that came with the DX10 would make sense in having then. :p

Yes it would push people to buy if they knew a future figure was coming where that head would be useful, but at this point, there's no certainty of that. If they wanted to do something like that, they're going backwards. Including all but the head in a BD figure, then putting out this Cyberdyne one with that head would be the way to work it.

I could see them announcing that they're adding that gun before another head.
