Didn't the MR version (of the ROTS helmet) sell for $899? I don't see how it's "amazingly overpriced" although I doubt I'll be able to afford one.

Exactly. And this helmet >>>>>>>> ROTS. And there was a lot more time, effort and R&D put into it as well.

People are bonkers if they think the $799 price is anything but fair.

As for the price, it's just the word "idealized", to me the Legendary looks and is described to almost be pulled off of Prowse's head. Idealized to me just indicates less than that. It's debatable whether $200 is acceptable. To me it isn't, not to get the piece itself but to settle for the LE over the umm.....LE. I actually kind of expected the price difference to be larger...

The thing is, with an Edition Size of just 250 a lot of people who want to get the Legendary likely won't be able to snag one, even at $999 with a $350 deposit. A lot of people won't have a choice but to go for the Limited Edition (which goes up for sale 2 days later) if they miss out on the Legendary.

You guys thinking this will sell out in minutes? Seems like the higher priced stuff is a little slower to move, even with smaller editions.

I don't know about minutes, but it may very likely sell out before the Limited Edition goes up.

The McVader looked awesome and I've always been a fan of the McStormtrooper but I'm holding out for a McFett. A conceptual Fett, hopefully not just the white scheme.

I believe McVader was made overseas, so I don't see why this would be different. I recall factory shots of that one from over in China.

In my opinion you have to go for the Legend Edition. If I missed out on it to me you just look harder for one on eBay or other outlets. I personally would be happier paying $1100 for the Legend Edition on the secondary market for example than $800 for the Limited and settling. Of course it's easier to say when it's hypothetical since I can't afford either but that is how I read it.

Thank goodness, its been almost a year since we saw this at SDCC. So any guesses how long after PO it will be ready to ship? Another year perhaps?
