I don't think anyone is disputing the facts that America is in a really bad way financially. It was more the guy in that audio link you posted and his doom-saying.

Part of what that guy is mentioning on his audio are what's stated in the articles I listed above. Scam or not, I'm not endorsing the dudes subscription newsletter, I'm just saying that some of the scary stuff he is mentioning may not be too far from the truth.

The guy in the audio video, may have had his hand slapped a few times. And yes he's trying to plug his newsletter subscription, but a lot of the senarios that he's mentioned in his video may have some merit.

He mentions the possible clapse of the US dollar. How countries (and even some states) are loosing confidence and even fearing the clapse of our Federal Gov, and are looking to replace the US dollar as the World Reserve Currency.

The following link mentions some states,(namely Virginia, along with Georgia, Indiana, Montana, New Hampshire, and South Carolina),trying to form an alternative currency to the US Dollar as they fear a clapse of the Federal Gov.

Fact, fiction or fear mongering? Decide for yourself-->https://lis.virginia.gov/cgi-bin/legp604.exe?111+ful+HJ557

Is that Teemu? :lol

Nah, Teemu is correct about most things. There has only been ONE board member on this board that I have seen actually wear a tinfoil hat.......hmmmmm, who was that again? :lol

It's all fear mongering. :lecture

All what is? The growing insolvency of this country and it's lack of fiscal credibility? The fact that its entitlements are bankrupting it, and that its regulatory and tax codes are strangling its ability to save itself?

Or something else?

So this is not a global issue? The US is the only one with these "issues"?

It's fear mongering if you focus solely on the US and not those abroad (like China going bankrupt in 2009).

Should I post the pic of you with yours on?

It is global, but a U.S. collapse would be a much bigger problem for the world at large, and for Americans in particular.

I wonder sometimes which is worse: those who exaggerate the danger, or those who play it down.

Who gives business to run all those Chinese factories... a lot of that is from the US. The US economy effects the rest of us as a whole. I totally agree. And the thing is things aren't going to get better. 80 percent of America's employment is service. It's a tough place to be in, but yeah we need America to survive this financial crisis, because if they don't it will make waves across the board. It has already.
