The jacket looks too baggy. Other than that it looks great. Just hope the ball joints are easy to hide. I can't stand them.

Jacket is an oddity.

In this photo it looks like a perfect fit and taioloring.

This photo looks almost like the Sideshow 1/6 figure jacket, at least in how it puffs out.

Going by the full body shot, it seems like it's just a bit bigger than his body. The sleeves look particularly large.

The costume was pretty snug on Arnold.

HT's costume is tight on the figure, but suffers because of hte size of the body and leather-ware at 1/6 like that is too thick to get good scale.

It almost seems like the jacket in the first photo I posted is different from the majority of the figure shots.

I'm not sure how thin of the Italian leather they used in these 1/4, but I don't believe everything will be truly 1/4 scale. There should be some small compromises made, but the detail is definitely still there. There was another picture where the jacket was hanging off his hand over the shoulder. It didn't look too puffy there.

It should be fine because the actual jacket is heavier so it fits better on Arnold from the movie than something that's lighter weight on the 1/4 scale figure.

This is part of an interview with Hot Toys.

Milk : Seems like mass production action figure’s improvement in technique are producing figures almost as good as Hand Made figure’s quality, in which other area do you think is still possible to achieve a breakthrough?

Yulli : I hope for a chance to be able to take on a bigger scale product. Because the size for a 1/6 head sculpt is really too small. In order to make it manufacture-able, there are still a degree of limits. If we can produce bigger scale figure, we can achieve an even much closer realism to a real human being.

Howard : We definitely hope to try out producing items with some greater degree of realism exceeding those in 1/6 scale constraint. For example looking at 1/2 scale bust or using real hair and eyeballs kind of materials to inject a greater sense of realism. But eventually it is up to market’s demand. Because such products are meant more for displaying only. Level of playability is low. Furthermore, it is not something collectors require at current.

If EB's 1/4 T800 does well, I can see HT copying them, & developing 1/4 figures of their own. Yulli thinks 1/6 is too small anyway, so I think she will like 1/4 better. Ah, two toy companies vying for our affection :lol We win :D

Here is Yulli with the HT Terminator.

Well said- angles and such do change proportions...this looks so good it is just a dream for figure collectors. I think it's fantastic EB has not thrown in the towel to HT and goes ALL out and produces this...

Yeah, it should be the material making it look a little bit off but it's natural looking enough.

Take the upcoming HT 1989 Batman DX for example, the cape looks thick compared to the real scaled version--but that makes sense because they can only go so thin without sacrificing durability.

I believe it's the same case here with T-800's leather jacket and pants.

To me, HT got it it to fit the body perfectly, which is what surprises me about the EB being so baggy, but EB's body is much better for T2. Somewhere between the two lies the perfect T2 T-800.
