So I did good Y4NK33 ?

I have never seen any nunchaku's haning on the dio of that first set or any other set for that matter.

The only thing I can think of is in the 1978 version of "Game of Death" where the fake Bruce goes up to the floor where Dan Inosanto is - and he picks up the nunchakus that hangs by the stairs there. But that is not in the original footage with Bruce...

Thanks for the clip, my memory is terrible. I probably just saw a display I liked that had them hanging there, or perhaps the boxing bag from the dio makers display :slap Never mind me :lol

Ok so here's a few quick snaps of the custom BD EB GOD 1st edition I got today. Let me know what you talented customizers think of the BD sculpt paint app.

Well… I am far from being talented when it comes to customize and photography, but I give it a shot anyways.

First of all I know how difficult it is to get a good shot of this first EB and Arnie’s first official licensed Bruce Lee figure. For some reason the figure is not photogenic and therefore it is not easy to give justice to how it really is and feels when seeing it in hand. Secound of all this is the first generation of really high quality and - at that time - the BEST in likness figure in my opinion - also at that time - but so much has progressed and IMO the likness has become better and better each time Enterbay releases a new Bruce Lee figure.

If I should be critical I would say the following:

What hits me first is the redness on the nose which bothers me the most - can you fix that ? Also, he looks kind of sad and frightened... Not sure why... Maybe it is the eyebrows that does that ? The black eye should be toned down a little in my opinion. If you mange to get rid of the red nose first - it would be interesting to see how much it would differ, and maybe it will give a much better appearances.

Btw, you did see the bruised version of this first figure by "Tin's Work" (not our Tin on the forum) that I posted earlier in this tread ? I think he really nailed it - but I also think he did build the head sculpt from scratch by doing a cast and made a completely new figure head. How ever, I am pretty sure Rorywan, Ahgnus, etc. would give you a much better and more professional feedback.

I have seen some displays - and the only thing hanging has been the boxing bag. I doubt anyone would hang the nunchakus other than around the figure's neck - which I have seen...

Nope... It's not me, but I know who it is - but I am leaving that to Axe and that other collector

Of course you know who it is - you know EVERYTHING that is Bruce Lee-related!:lol

Yank, I think you should try to avoid the flash or just turn down the lightng... IMO the bruises are too 'red'... as in not like a realistic wound on skin... more like a red botch of paint. do something. Use some crimson acrylic and mix it with black acrylic and get that darker reddish hue in black effect for the bruise and apply it by dabbing with a tissue on the red wounds... EXCEPT the lip jam... itll make the bruises look better... overall

I HATE YOU! :gah:

Thanks for the feedback guys!

I have to use flash otherwise the pics come out fuzzy :slap The nose in the pics comes out very red, like Rudolph the reindeer lol, but it's very faint in hand.

I'll try some pics this evening under normal conditions in my display - which is under the LED lighting on the shelf and not on the kitchen table, mid afternoon sunlight blaring through the house + flash :lol

I might dabble in the acrylics but I fear messing things up. :monkey1

Oh and axe, thanks! :1-1: :hi5: :nana:

:rotfl

Man, I can't get a solid pic of my BL without a camera flash. Every single one comes out fuzzy & it's annoying. I give up! :monkey4 :gah: :thud:
Pics without flash so I can comment on your figure Yank :lol

Something I want for myself, is a camera tripod. Maybe one of those cheap bendy ones :D I think it will help lessen the fuzz in pics without flash (I think) :D

Ok guys, the Freak who sold me this was kind enough to link me to the thread where he had his head custom painted, so here are those original pics that are of much better quality than my pos camera :lol

Critique away :monkey1

Maybe it's like the BTS BD head sculpt, & looks better in person. You got it for a good price I take it? Or it has collector value of some sort?

:lol Yes, I picked it up for a great price. A far cry from what the Evilbay sellers wanted.

My quest for BL GOD's is over, the march to WOtD continues :thud: :lol

Congrats on almost getting all the EB BL figures Yank :D

Have fun paying for the EB WotD figure :lol

:rotfl :gah: :slap

Never gonna happen! I think of all EB BL releases I like that 1 the least, so I can't even begin to justify some extraordinary price for that figure. Maybe I'll luck out and come across a garage sale on the side of the road one day and the WoTD will be sitting there for $10 :yess:

If only :lol

Hey Yank, do you know what EB BL figure was released immediately before this one?
