I'm gonna try hard and snag a couple 23s if they aren't too expensive. One for my gf who is a huge Jordan fan and one for me to keep in the box :lol

Also have a bunch of J's. Don't stock 'em, just rock 'em: they're shoes and Jordan will keep rereleasing them every few years. Plus, I got like 10 pairs now which will easily get me through the next 5-10 years (office work). So no use keeping a stash of them as DS cause in 5-10 years time there'll be a bunch of new CW's anyway :D
Do have 1 pair of DS Concords though :panic:

LOL what do you mean? I rock ALL my Jordans...what I'm saying is...I always double up and get 2 of each (sometimes 3 of each if I really like the kicks)...but I always rock my Jordans...true sneakerheads rock their shoes...just so happens I got extra pairs in DS cond -and got no plans selling all my DS pairs

I got 3 pairs of Concords...one I rock, the other 2 I stock ... although I'm thinking of selling one of em' so I can double up my SpaceJam :wink1:

Provided they do not re-release the goatee head sculpts or the warm up suits, this is going to be a sought after piece long after the regular #23 figure comes out. There's going to be that segment of collectors who will want to pose their figures in the warm ups especially. If Enterbay does not include these in future releases, that itself will be a premium exclusive accessory that will be hot with 1/6 MJ collectors.

And yes, even though 3000 pieces are made, the demand will quickly swallow these up. Because as many have mentioned in previous responses, it's not just us figure collectors that will want this. The Sneakerheads at NikeTalk and other sneaker forums are already buzzing about it. I'm sure the sports figure collector who has since moved on from SLU's and McFarlane SportsPicks will also be interested in these.

They r making a USA Olympic Jordan. He had a goatee. So it will b re-released..

he needs to space these out a bit.....bad business practice if you ask me..but he's rich, im not..hehe

Bill is recycling the head and bodies for these figures. The uniforms just have number changes and home/away variations for the most part and therefore, EB can crank these out pretty quickly. The variants (Olympic, All Star, Space Jam) will take a tad bit longer since the kits are going to be pretty new outside of the pattern to make them.

If you missed out on the Red #45 Away Jordan figure, I suggest getting the pre-order of the White #45 Home Jordan figure from BBTS. For $399 it's not too too bad considering how much the Red one was selling and sold on eBay. Also BBTS has one of the best price of the White #45 Home Jordan figure and they don't charge your credit card until they ship it out, so might as well lock in your figure.

MOAF is selling theirs for $549.99...

When did Enterbay mention doing Space Jam?

Ah I see. Well, I only got two feet, so no need to stock extras :horror

I think they mentioned somewhere that the dunk/tongue figure would be released at Hong Kong Anicom, so I guess that's somewhere around july.

About the sneakerheads/Jordan figure popularity; I think it's more that people here also buy Jordan sneakers than the other way around; there was a thread on Niketalk a while ago
and I think they compared these figures to playing with Barbie's... Lot of people think these figures look cool, but I personally don't know anyone who'd pay $399 for one.
Buying sneakers on the other hand......

There's no doubt that these figures will go up considerably in value. I don't know of any other sports star that was and is as popular as Jordan. He was the first mega sports star and is popular worldwide.

Like someone has already mentioned, the HK "Away 45" version is already selling for $600+ on ebay and it hasn't even been out a month yet. I can see the "Home 45" version rising in value as well, though probably not as much due to it having a production run of 1000 more units and people seem to like the away colors (red) more than the home colors (white). Of course, time can only tell how much they go up in value, but they're definitely a solid investment that one can easily recoup their costs of purchasing and then some, if they decide to sell later down the road.

Obviously, the #23 versions are going to have a higher demand than the #45's, for obvious reasons, but that doesn't mean Jordan fans won't want his "comeback" versions. Not to mention that people are going to want the home and away warmups that seem to be exclusive to the these first 2 releases. I could be wrong about the warmups exclusivity though, but that's my understanding from what I've read. Also, though #23 versions might have a higher demand, depending on the production runs of the #23 versions, the #45 versions could end up being more sought after if they have a lower production run.

Either way you look at it, people will pay top-dollar for these figures, and the fact that BBTS's pre-orders for the Away 45 (arguably the least wanted version) have sold out already are an extremely good indication of how highly collectible these figures are going to be.

okay so I keep seeing posts say "its now sold out at BBTS" and then I check and its not. So either lots of people are consistantly canceling or everytime they "sell out" they get more from Enterbay.

I have a feeling this "3000" number might be more like 5,000 when its done.

I wouldn't worry about what anybody on any sneaker forums thinks. The highlight of their day is about how many "necks they break" from other guys and bragging on the internet about how many shoes they have, so does it really matter if they consider 1/6th figures Barbies?:lol

All figures have the same body/head sculpt?

My understanding is that they all have the same body, but there are different head sculpts. For example, the white 45 version on BBTS comes with a goatee, whereas the red 45 version does not. There's also been mention of one with the tongue hanging out coming out at some point. Not sure which head sculpts are planned for the white and red 23 versions though, as I haven't seen any details on those. They're expected to be released within the next few months though. So, we should be getting details soon.

Anyone else want to see a couple of younger Jordan figures? I'd love to have one with the old Chicago jersey and when he had a little bit of hair on top:

That one would definitely need a new body as he was more lean then.
