yeah? really?

How about, there is not privacy, PERIOD!
The fact that you are using a computer connected to the internet means your privacy can be invaded.
If you use an Iphone, Ipad, Xbox, Playstation 3, a laptop,
Anything connected to the internet, at any time.

I'm well aware of it. It's a joke. Most people turn a blind eye and ignore it all. Everything you say or post is monitored. I've been in some of these massive data centers before. You cant hide anything, but I'm sure not gonna aide them in the process anymore. Some things are what they are like posting here, but I hardly post anywhere anymore.

I edited my post. But Google is what we should all really be afraid of. Google is what scares me sometimes.

those New Video Games systems (XBOX especially) coming out are a total control Grids for its users....for the unit to work, you must be online at all times and it has voice recognition to play among other things..

Soon Video Games will be download only, with no actually physical game disc making the user to have to be online to play video games.

but nobody cares

I care more about identity theft and fraud than I do being 'monitored'. If some g-man wants to know how often I beat off to animal porn, good luck to them.

At least Facebook doesn't know what you are searching every day. ]

actually it does...if you stay logged on...it leaves cookies for facebook to collect data of the websites you visit

you're right about google....take notice to the google ads.You can visit a website and you'll see a google ads of websites you visit (how conveinant)

To me it's about rights. They take baby step after baby step for "the greater good" until eventually they are at your door. Keeping lists of gun owners, bible beliving christians, people who question what our government is really up to......it goes on and on. Everyone says that it sounds good or is for safety and eventually they take bigger steps and people go HEY!.........But it's too late....liberty lost.

the movie industry is trying the same thing too.

They want it to be so that only one machine can play a movie. and you cannot play that movie on other devices.

Kind of like how Itunes music can only be played on certain computers.
So both Music and movies are going to be only download and could only play in that one computer....

yay for the future lol :blissy

Like I said. Do not trust Google....

I have an account but since I don't have a lot of friends (I think I'm at like 50 which by facebook standards means I live under a rock) my feed isn't too filled with annoying stuff so its not that bad. I keep it because its a handy way to get in touch with some good old friends and see what they are up to time to time but its not something I obsess over.

I have to admit, i hate facebook. I deleted (or de-activated cause they wont allow you to delete, not sure if thats changed??) my account over 1 year ago now, and can honestly say, ive been a LOT happier without it. I have better things to do with my time.

To me it's not about rights, but privileges and responsibilities.

For example, those who want a society where criminals can be apprehended thanks to CCTV will need to sacrifice their capacity to move about in many spaces unmonitored.

Those who want to communicate on internet services free of charge can readily do so, but there is an onus of responsibility on the user to ensure that their personal information is reasonably protected.

Having safe streets is a privilege. Free use of internet services is a privilege.

All this talk about 'they', like it's some coherent, organised, grand and sinister conspiracy :lol

Funny how back in the 50s people left their cars unlocked, left theri front doors unlocked and walked down the street at night and felt safe. It doesnt mean crime didn't exist back then, but it was far less common and less violent in most instances and that was managed without constant monitoring by big brother. Society as a whole has declined rapidly and is only getting worse. I could go on and on about what was and what is today, but most just poo poo it off.

back in the 50's they were buying a loaf of bread for a silver dime (10 cents)...today a loaf of bread almost costs 5 federal reserve notes..

I wonder how prices just jump up like that....was it because the bread should cost more? or was it because the unbacked dollar has lost it buying power over the years causing inflation..

I agree, society has gone down the crapper. And facebook isnt helping. Especially for kids. They need to get out and play, see the sun, instead of sitting on their phones and computers facebooking!

And again the "for the greater good" crowrd is the crowd who will happily sign up for the loss of individule rights and liberty.......exactly what the government hopes for.....paralyze people with fear and slowly enslave them without them even knowing it.

society has definitely gone downhill.
and thats the peoples' fault.... :monkey1

Go to a restaurant and take a look around and what do you see? Most familes not even talking to each other because they all have their faces burried in their cell phones on FB or texting. It's sick.
