I think that this is a pretty cool Dio. Ok, it's not for me and i won't be getting one, but a well executed dio none the less.

I was 8 when ROTJ came out. Didn't hate ewoks then and still don't today. In fact I thought it was pretty badass and brutal how they took out a few of the scout walkers and biker scouts. The shot where the walker is dragging all the ewoks holding the rope is one of the coolest and most convincing efx shots of the entire saga.

Sideshow can make the haters right with a reversed "Fall of the Ewoks" dio.

The diorama line is probably the best medium to gauge interest in some of the more controversial SW characters like ewoks and gungans. No mixed media, no new bodies to develop, just sculpted polystone and paint. I wonder if this dio will have an exclusive version.

:lol My Sarcasm Detector is not broken.

Everytime I see an ewok (or a product focusing on the little teddies) I always think back to how awesome the saga ending would have been had it been on the wookies home planet-- add the possibility of Han's death earlier due to the carbon freezing and an angered Chewbacca leading the charge with a desperate need for redemption Lando flying the Falcon-- with his ultimate sacrifice (and the MF's destruction as well) blowing up the Death Star and I sigh at what could have been...

I hate ewoks.

They certainly represent the line of demarcation for the saga. In fact, ROTJ as a whole does. It was all pretty much downhill from there.

:(

Damn you. Yeah, that would have been brilliant. :slap

A ROTJ without Harrison Ford would have been a far greater fail than what we ended up with.

Would it?... Look at ESB-- Ford's Solo has all of the best moments in that film (and best lines), but when it comes to ROTJ it's supurfluous. Killing Boba accidentally while blind :slap... Leading a group of poncho wearing rebel troopers down to destroy the shield generator :dunno... Pretending to be an imperial officer and then the famous "shoulder shrug"... :dunno:dunno He's then done until Lando and Wedge come back...

Even Ford thought that the character had done his thing and it would have served the entire trilogy's story better had he not survived.

I don't know-- hindsight is 20/20... Marketing and teddy bears in 100%.

Would it?...

Absolutely. I think it goes without saying that most of us would have preferred him to have had more important things to do in Jedi, but that's not a good reason to throw the baby out with the bathwater.

And its easy to assume that all their original ideas would have been so awesome, but that's only if they are executed properly. At least they didn't screw up wookiees with a poorly done finale on Kashyyyk.

If Han died while in carbonite everyone would have been complaining for the last 27 years about how awesome he was in TESB and how ROTJ sucks since they didn't continue with the character. Like you said, hindsight is 20/20.

Guess it depends on your pov with things or your willingness to accept and enjoy. Some of us can do that quite easily while some truly are grumpy old men before their time.

As I've said before I enjoy SW for what it is. The good and the bad. Both OT and PT have plenty of the same exact issues over the course of all six films. I don't take SW as serious as some and maybe thats why I tend to enjoy SW more than some folks who just get so hurt over things.

I agree with ya there. Especially with Star Wars more so than any other film franchise. So many star wars fans seem so ungrateful its not even funny. They make all star wars fans look bad IMO.

Wow, that would have been an amazing film. It's quite hysterical that the stupid Empire could crumble thanks to these little furballs. If you really think about it, next to the ending of ANH where Luke fires a tiny shot into a 2 meter hole and destroys an entire space station, the idea of Ewoks really isn't that bad...

Alas, I am a sucker for nostalgia and remember waiting online with my Mom to see this movie on opening day. I'll be getting this dio because (hang me if you will) I do like the Ewoks.
