The last ep was EPIC! They amped it up and had twists and turns for every scenes! Lots of new story elements and steller character development!

The last couple eps were very contained and story driven but this past ep delivered the popcorn goods!!!

Next Sunday is the Epic 2 Hour Season Finale!!! TUNE IN!

I've been loving the hell out of this show. I hope it doesn't end up like other alien shows i loved and get cancelled (V, The Event)

Season finale was pretty good, can't believe how the first two episodes and the last three or four differ from the ones in the middle, which were boring and terribly written.
Too bad we have to wait till next summer. I hope they don't cancel it...yet

I like this show a lot because of the genre. But I'm anxious to see how the story folds out...this genre is kind of dead, it feels like even though I love the show, theres just not much more to show. What i mean, is

the guy gets on the alien ship and supposedly will reveal lots of secrets, and then what. They let him go or he sabatoges them and escapes. Resistances rallies remaining people, they win, and its over. Unless they plan to take the battle to other locations, add a bunch of new characters and drag it out, the inevitable ending will be like Battle Los Angeles. Found a strategy, tell the other locations. The End. Or maybe humans will lose? I doubt it though,

Hopefully the show will surprise us though.

Show was pretty awesome. So a little bummed that its over but looking forward to it being back on next summer.

The finale was good! had me on the edge and delivered on most of the twists but they can really expect us to wait a whole year!? They should of atleast had a little more action at the very end to make the wait worth while. either way im hooked on the show!

I thought it was pretty good. Need to know more behind the tall aliens.

Thought the RPG part was pretty funny how it didn't even seem like he aimed. And I'm no expert, but I don't think an RPG can shoot as far as that.

Can't agree with you at all. The last two shows might have been the two best of the season. Nice cliff hanger at the end of it too.

First episode of the finale--so they think the guy is using pills, for some reason he waits until they're about to start a mutiny before he tells them he wasn't on them (although he probably was lying as it seems later).

Then there's the random new guy, somehow he's important, and we've never seen him before. They kind of introduce him, but his character doesn't matter at all which makes it puzzling as to why they even cared to add the character. Not to mention, after they lock up Tom he's set as the guard for some reason. And that when Tom went to confront Weaver about the drugs it looked like they were setting up battle plans with that stupid kid with the gun.

Which brings to another thing----seriously, what's up with that ******* kid with the gun? He has been completely useless, why do they think that he's a good fighter?

The idea that the alien communications can be disrupted with a crappy radio is unlikely. And how come the mechs have the ability to retreat when the signal blocks the communications but somehow they wouldn't be able to point their guns and shoot?

Then--what was the point of going in to attack when it was very obvious that it wouldn't work? Also, very unlikely that he would have been able to hit that alien ship with the RPG, and I'm not really sure why that happened anyways (like what was the purpose) it was kind of just random and "oh what the hell" type thing

And the cliffhangar ending was just very very cheap, not imaginative at all, of all the things that they could have done, they chose the easiest so that they could act like they were taking risks with the show.

Have you seen the news lately about the Talibans downing a helicopter with 30 marines? They just shot up in the air with a RPG and luckily hit it.
Thats what he did, a ship was flying by and he luckily hit it with the RPG and it crashed into the main ship and started a chain reaction.

My guess is maybe they didn't know the show would come back for another season, so maybe that's why they didn't have a major finale like V.

At least give me the impression of time gone by. These guys left the compound walked about five steps turned right at a tree and they were there.

:lol:lol:lol

Nah, I know what you mean.

Then there's the random new guy, somehow he's important, and we've never seen him before. They kind of introduce him, but his character doesn't matter at all which makes it puzzling as to why they even cared to add the character. Not to mention, after they lock up Tom he's set as the guard for some reason.

You just said the whole reason for the character. :lol

That's why stories have supporting characters, to move the plot forward. They don't have to be important or serve a significant purpose. They don't even need names most of the time.

what's up with that ******* kid with the gun? He has been completely useless, why do they think that he's a good fighter?

They don't. But they have no choice but to use him given their predicament. That's the thing. Under normal circumstances no one would let that little ******** have a gun. But since they're in a situation where they need as many soldiers and fighters as possible, people like that and even people like the main dude (who was a teacher) and his son (highschool student) get guns and fight.

The idea that the alien communications can be disrupted with a crappy radio is unlikely.

As unlikely as an Alien invasion? :lol

And how come the mechs have the ability to retreat when the signal blocks the communications but somehow they wouldn't be able to point their guns and shoot?

If they're reacting as badly as Ben (when he hears the radio frequency) why shoot in that situation!? The humans aren't aggressive. The Mechs retreated and got away without incident.

what was the point of going in to attack when it was very obvious that it wouldn't work?

Morale. The humans are losing hope. And hearing that the general dude plus the two other factions were probably all dead didn't help. The last thing the fleeing civilians heard was that the soldiers were going to attack the Alien HQ. When Weaver sends the one kid back to the School he tells him to tell all the survivors that they succeeded in attacking the Aliens. That knowledge alone (even if it were untrue) would boost morale and at least give the survivors hope.

I'm not really sure why that happened anyways (like what was the purpose) it was kind of just random and "oh what the hell" type thing

It was. The bombs they set off didn't work (they weren't close enough). They were getting ready to leave and they still had the RPG (with Mech metal) and they figured why not shoot it off. No harm no foul. What was funny about that scene was, the big bombs they all THOUGHT would do major damage did nothing. But the little RPG that the biker dude just brought along just in case ended up doing A LOT of damage. So it was essentially a metaphor for Guerrilla warfare.

As far as the ending, the only thing I disliked about it was it felt a lot like the ending for Close Encounters of the Third Kind. But the ending DID make sense i.e. the humans have caused the Aliens such a headache (even though they were outnumbered and facing superior technology) that now the Aliens wanna make a deal. :lol
