No matter if its faux bronze or a regular...

I think this LOTR dio is "handsdown" the most disappointing yet, due to the sheer size alone.

The piece is puny.

I thought it would be huge.

Then I guess we disagree, I think its one of the best Sideshow have done and even better then many of the SSW ones.

As for size, its plenty large enough thank you, exactly how big a house do you have. With a display area of around 55cm squared, what did you want, a metre wide wing span. Then no one could have purchased it since the box would have been to big to post to anyone, unless the wings detatched and that would have made for some ugly seems.

yeah....of all the complaints I've heard about it....the size wasn't one of them. How big did you expect this to really be?

Received the email as well. Can't wait for this :rock

Reg. is better for detail over a boring bronze piece.
Size was a little disappointing, but it does have good detail.
Thank god for the rubber spines on the back of the fell beast.

Although the "Shatterer of Dreams" has told me twice that it would not be so, still, my WL for the FB Eagle vs. Fell beast has converted. Don't know if I should keep it though. The SSC FB's don't exactly knock people of their feet... .

There's nothing on ebay currently. Only the regular version. I don't know, but I have the feeling that not one single FB piece SSC has released has gained in value, despite the very low ES's of 50-75. Not that the monetary value is that important, but it's hard to understand that such limited items are not hip! Usually there's always a buzz around low edition items. Not so this time. Why? I'm sure it looks great in person.

I think the fact that it is LOTR does not help regards the value (of course this will all change when the Hobbit comes out!) But also that SS seemed to release a huge glut of FB pieces over several licences in one go made people jaded to the buzz of it...but I really think that time will tell that this is a good investment! :)...

...oh and did I mention it is gorgeous?! :lol

Mine arrived broken, but just barely, on the tip of one of the dorsal fins, and the white polystone was showing thorugh. I really didn't like it much at all, paint job was very flat. After the minor damage, it made my decision to return it easier.

Really? Thats a darn shame! :( Mine seems really vibrant and has great paint tones all over...maybe, much like alot of SS stuff, this piece varies :dunno

Ask and ye shall receive, apologies for the use of flash:
