re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

:lol:lol:lol

Love that he claims it as homemade apple cider! :yess::clap

Yeah, I freakin love beer but this guy's a little nuts when it comes to it. I couldn't even guess how much he spends in a month. A couple of weeks ago he went up to Minnesota and camped out overnight in 20 degree temps for the Surly Darkness release. He never misses Darklord Day at Three Floyds either. In fact, he just had a vertical Darklord tasting with brews from 2012 going back to 2007 I think. I personally find Darklord to be overrated. He also recently had a tasting with over 40 different Pumpkin beers.

Any recommendations on a creme ale that would be available on the East Coast ?

:lol I would say he likes beer. Holy crap!

Funny you mention Darklord. A guy I know is a huuuge fan as well, and has been going to Darklord Day for a couple of years. He's PO'd at what it's become. He's still a fan of the beer, but he's done with heading to the brewery, even if it means missing the Dark Lord sale.

Yeah, the direction beer has gone with limited releases etc... reminds me a lot of the gimmicky variant comic book covers from the nineties.:lol

You Chicago guys are damn cool. I have a buddy from there, and outside of his bad taste in sports teams (Niners are playing the Bears this Monday, so I may as well throw the first stone) he's about as cool a guy as they come. He brewed a great IPA for he and his wife's wedding favors.

:lol Don't remind me. It looks like You guys are at least gonna have Alex Smith starting. I don't think that there's any way that Cutler will be playing on Monday.:gah::lol

Can't think of any creme ales off the top of my head, but creme stouts on the other hand...:drool

We really need this game, bad... :lecture

Actually we both do. The Packers have the Lions this week and as much as I want to see The Pack lose, I just don't see it happening. If the Bears lose as well, they will be tied at the top of the NFC north.:panic:

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Derby tomorrow... Should we just wait to make fun of each other?

In-laws are coming up to visit the baby. :gah: Already going to be a crappy day so we better win. If we lose to the spuds and I have to listen to my MIL drone on and on. :monkey4

1-1 draw. :wave

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Got 2 of those from last year still sitting in beer fridge. Gotta open em up soon.

Cool. No real hurry to crack em. It's got so much alcohol you could probably let em sit for another year. I usually let imperials mellow out in my beer fridge for a year and reduce the alcohol bite (if I can wait that long:lol). I just had an Espresso Oak Aged Yeti (that I cracked open in honor of The Walking Dead season premiere) that was sitting for like a year and a half - damn was it smooth. It all comes down to personal preference.:duff

Sounds about right... After losing to Wigan and beating ManU(re) I have no clue what we will end up doing week to week.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

This thread kills me. I read two pages and I want 12 different beers RIGHT NOW.

Or if you want to go all out.

And it is all out. In both respects. Found only one bottle ever, and the experience rated somewhere just past Neptune.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I picked up a few winter beers last night.
