The Newcastle Winter IPA has to be one of the smoothest IPAs I've ever had. It's also the best winter beer I've tasted.

Waller! Clean the dishes!

I'm just now getting it that this thread is all about beer. :slap

How was the Newcastle Winter IPA? After trying their summer brew I'm afraid to even think of picking up anything else.

I loved it! I'm not a big IPA drinker, but I really enjoyed this one.

What's IPA? :dunno

India Pale Ale...a certain style of beer.

"The stars of the hop world. As with a number of brewing styles, IPA was born out of necessity. When the British were colonizing India, the beers they sent down to their troops kept spoiling during the long sea voyage. With an extra healthy dose of hops and alcohol (40-65 IBU and 5% -7.5% ABV respectively), both having great preservative value, their problems were solved, and the world had another distinctive beer style. Today, American craft brewers do more than emulate the style. They continue to push the envelope with strength and bitterness. Curiously, it’s much harder to find a true IPA from England thes e days, with a few notable exceptions, which we will feature."

Oh, okay, thanks. ;)

If you are into hoppy beers they are for you. Especially some of the west coast IPAs that are wet hopped. A good starting IPA is Dogfish 60 minute. Bells Two Hearted is also an amazing IPA. :lecture
