I do like the hoppy stuff but maltier beers are still my favorite. This is a great time of year for some of the heavier stuff like porters, stouts and Holiday ales.

There is one pale ale that I really love though:

I'm more of a malty guy too... Fuller's London Pride and Porter are two of my very favorite... Hell, I just love a good Pilsner or Lager too.

For me, any beer is better than no beer. :lol

A couple of my favorites:

-Rogue Dead Guy Ale

-Bell's Amber Ale

Had my first couple of Sam Adams Winter Lagers over the weekend and it continues to deliver year after year. The Octoberfest used to be my favorite Seasonal from SA but for some reason it just hasn't been consistent over the last few years. The Winter Lager always kicks ass though.:rock

I tell ya, pick up Sierra Nevada's Celebration if they have it in your area. The fresh hops give it such a unique bite.

Yeah, I definitely plan to - I just haven't come across any yet. It seems that the grocery stores around me get their Sierra Nevada stuff late for some reason. I didn't see Tumbler this year until the first week of October. I need to find time to get to one of the "beer stores" by me, but it sucks because all the good places are the opposite direction of everywhere we go on the weekend. I'm already planning on stopping at a great store by my parents house when we go there Friday, so I should have no problem finding some.:yess:

So, what's everyone drinking on Thanksgiving?

I've got a pretty long drive to my in-laws so I'll be keeping it mellow with some Amstel Light (not to mention that I'll be eating a lot :lol).

I'm doing wine this year since there will be beer in the Guinness Beef Stew I'm making (we're going non-traditional this year). I picked up a bottle of Pinot Noir after work today.

Thought about doing homemade Bloody Mary mix and have those with breakfast but that might be pushing it. :monkey4. Cocktail will be the archangel from pdt in NY. gin, aperol and muddled cucumber. Very crisp and a bit bitter to wet the appetite.

Might sneak a beer in there somewhere. I wish we had some Saison...that would be perfect for turkey.

Flosi, you're a craft beer drinker? Alright! :hi5: I just went to Perfect Pour this weekend. Ity's a craft beer store here in MD and it is heavenly. Every time I go in there I spend well over an hour in a strance. Sooo much selection.

My friend has it. Looks pretty fun from what I saw. I'm also intrigued at the idea of a pig version of Walrusman.
