They are, at least Spock is. I plan on getting Bones, but I'm waiting a bit to pull the trigger.

Only thing that could be better is the paint on Spock, it's not bad... but somewhere between better than Sideshow and not as good as HT. Still, given the small run and nice finishes on everything and how awesome TWoK is the price is justified.

I agree. They are great.

Send resumes to companies you want to work for even if they don't have ads posted. That's how I found my potential new job. Well, new job..pretty much decided to take it.

Finding a job these days is TOUGH. I put in 2 years of resumes and phone calls and got nothing until a friend helped me get the job I have now. My company just merged again and have already started layoffs. I'm terrified at the thought of hitting the ground running again though I would like a job with better hours.

Not yet. I think it's coming next month.

So I'm 3/4 done with the DS... worked on that a bit this weekend, did some cards and watched a 9er game... I'm still depressed.

Wow, you're killing that DS. Can't wait for pics when you're done.

Sucks about the 9ers, I was rooting for them. Being a Saints fan, I can't root for the Seahawks so GO DENVER!!!.

I did one recently that wanted a pre-interview video sent with the resume in order to be considered.

Work with a head hunter for your industry.

You need to exhaust all avenues these days and use all resources. Don't count on any one.

Video interview? Screw that... Head hunter sounds lije a good idea...

You are actually my inspiration. You are the first person in a while I've heard to look for a job and not only find something but have a choice. Congrats!

Being unemployed with a kid in 2000/month daycare certainly helps you be a bit more aggressive. Without her around it might have been,yeah take a month off to read and play battlefield 4. Having a skills set is key...just keep sending out resumes. It's free,not like the old days when you had to put a stamp on it. You send out like 20 resumes while sitting on the can.

So, my first official day of being unemployed. Have an interview Wednesday. Wife goes back from maternity leave tomorrow. We had our first conversation, initiated by my wife, about me pursuing artwork seriously. Baby is sleeping. This is weird.

I'm havin' a beer, catching up on some long overdue artwork, and watching Masters of the Universe.

Anybody got any tips on job hunting nowadays? I'm once again thinking about leaving this job and looking for something repairing computer systems or something like that.

I've always thought it a good move to be keeping an eye out whilst you're still in a job. It means no gap in your resume and no financial stress while you're looking. If you know anyone in your desired field, put it out that you're looking. You never know when someone might "know a guy who knows a guy who's looking to hire". What about consulting - have you thought about going out on your own?
