re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I was out of work for 2 years before I got my last job. And I sent out resumes every day. I'm actually shocked at how many responses I've got in the last week. Hope things turn around for wife!!! :duff

That's EXACTLY how it was for me. The only contact I got were for jobs I didn't want that I didn't apply for, Insurance Sales. No thanks, I'd rather starve.

Now my wife on the other hand has a degree and mucho experience in her field, she had multiple interviews and an offer within 2 weeks of looking. *****. That **** used to make me so mad. :lol

Wow, this Lagunitas Sucks is something. I'm not usually into super-hoppy beers but this **** tastes EXACTLY like it smells and it smells kinda like heaven.

Sucks is even better on draft. Had some last weekend. Well worth searching out.

I just do not want to be here tonight. I'm just going to put in my earbuds, keep filling my coffee and drudge through it...

Ugh. Nazis, I hate these guys!

I bet. I don't know of too many places in NJ with good taps. I grew up on Staten Island and we had two really good bars that rotated the drafts all the time.

So many of you guys have been talking about that beer. I guess I'm gonna have to track some down and try it. Is it hard to find?

I was busy at work and didn't get a chance to post all day. I hope everybody is doing well. :wave
I was wondering where you were at.

Maybe you need a new job, too!

Make sure you catch up on all the pixelpeenisposts in the SW section. I think he explained how to chew gum to someone today.

My local "good" beer store carries a full range of Lagunitas and this is the first time I've seen Sucks. And they had a sign up limiting it to two six-pacls per customer. So I would get it if you see it.

Damn. Thanks for the tip. I'll have to make some calls this week.

And yes, NAZIS indeed! Because of my Banking and Customer Service background I used to get multiple calls a day from AFLAC and the likes. I hate doing sales in general but Insurance, forget it.

Try trendy towns like Montclair or Hoboken. You're more likely to find good bars with different beers there.

Maybe you need a new job, too!

I thought about it but this job is just too convenient and pays me too well to walk away from. If it's meant to be, it will.

The girl at work watched my Harmy Star Wars blu-ray. She didn't like it. Said she fell asleep in a few places and that the acting was bad. Her favorite character was C-3PO out of all of them. Very disappointing.

Oh dear... Are you doing swapsies? Do you have to watch one of her faves now?

Damn, that sucks. But I've sure lots of wives of SW fans don't like it. I wouldn't throw the potential relationship out the window just because of that...
I'm sure there's movie she likes that you won't like either... Successful relationships don't have to have everything in common. As long as she supports your love of SW, that's all that matters... But if she chastises you for liking it, well, that wouldn't be good...

Yep. I watched her copy of Monsters University. Pretty entertaining and I actually wanted to see it at the movie theater, so that worked out. Her other favorite is A Walk to Remember. Thankfully she didn't make me watch that one yet.

Oh, no doubt. She's a really nice girl and I'm just happy she gave it a chance. We have very different interests, but I'm alright with that.
