re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I spent the evening getting my room prepared to paint. I didn't even get a chance to open Vader. :(

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I made stuffed shells tonight, with spinach and basil. So good. Was interrupted by FLOSI though. So good...

I will say though, a 500 degree oven sure will heat the house and the chef up!

Sitting outback in the cold air, with only a t-shirt on...

Gonna go for DQ in a bit. :D
Cold air, my a$$! If you want cold air, head East!

Oh ****! :panic: King of the Nerds is on!

goodbye...
There's a season two??? :panic::panic::panic:
I don't have cable anymore! Will download ASAP!!! I loved that show!

New display room?

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Yep, starts tonight. I was rooting for Bam to be on, since she applied and was selected for the first round. Just didn't make the final cut...

The final selection of season 1 was disappointing.

No way! That's so awesome!!! I could picture her being on there... 10 years ago, I would have applied. But they're definitely looking for younger geeks. Cody, Ben, you guys should apply for next season! :lecture

I just bid on an auction which happened to be ending for an IG-88 Exclusive. I bid conservatively. Ben helped me find one for $174 shipped (regular version). I decided I'd pay $190 for the exclusive. It sold for $192.69 (the minimum bid higher than my bid) so he probably had a $200 max bid at least... I don't think the vibro axe by itself is worth $26 more. I'll order it for $174 right now. Thanks, Ben!

Are you going for a bounty hunter display? Do you have Bossk?

No problemo. Enjoy IG-88. I've got a regular and I don't even miss the vibrator ax.

Well, if the ax can be used as a vibrator, perhaps I will miss it! Oh wait, I'm not a chick. Never mind...

I have the exclusive version for almost every SSC item I own. Every item I ever bought from Sideshow was the exclusive (if there was an exclusive). But I did buy a few used PF's which weren't, and won a few contests which weren't. My Boba Fett 12" was a contest win, so is the regular version. If the exclusive is an alternate swapable head, I MUST have that version. When I bought the Hot Toys Luke Bespin, I wanted the Luke/Vader head (even though it doesn't fit with the Bespin diorama theme). I absolutely hate the Clone exclusives (a special stand, oh boy!) I would have preferred to have the ax, but it's not worth paying a ton more for. I would have been better off if I had never canceled my order. I still have no idea why I did. Oh well, live and learn...

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I didn't mention this earlier, but this is the reason for my sudden IG-88 interest. A friend of mine emailed me the following today:
Now that I have several robot dolls (probe droid forthcoming), I wanted to build on that "focus" collection.
So...I bought a Sideshow IG-88 sixth scale doll. It got raving reviews and has lots of features, including a lighted head and base. The retail price was originally around $180, but is sold out on Sideshow's website. I bought one on ebay for $160, but after shipping from China, it's around $190. The seller has excellent feedback. So I took a leap, and I didn't get a great bargain, but I checked everywhere online for the best price.

So I responded that I have one. He then replied that he didn't think I did. I was positive that I did, but I checked my order history, and discovered I canceled it 6 months after I had ordered it. This was news to me! I don't remember canceling it, and really thought I had it. Because I still don't have my 12" display case fully functional, I never noticed. So it then became my life's mission to acquire one! The kicker is I ended up buying one for $16 cheaper than my friend, who claimed he had searched everywhere, plus I'll receive it WAY before my friend, who is getting his from China! I don't think I'll mention it to him. I don't want to brag. He's been going through a rough period lately...

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I saw this story yesterday evening. It happened just a few towns over from mine. It bummed me out all day.

Ugh....no more c@c@ news in this thread :lecture

May The Force Be With You. :thwak

:lol :lol :lol

And Waller don't lie! ;)

That's a lie!
Alright, let's have a friendly discussion. I know many of you, like myself, are prequel haters, but furystorm's post got me thinking. Which prequel do you like the best of the three or which one do you hate the least?

Like RotS the most, with TPM very close behind.

TPM had SO much potential and got a lot right, but killing Qui-Gon and Maul ( IN THE SAME SCENE! ) sucked the life out of the movie for me. They should have carried Maul through the trilogy had him kill off Qui-Gon in part two, be a key in seducing Anakin to the Dark Side and ultimately laid to waste by Obi in part 3.

AOTC was pure c@c@.

This may be an unpopular opinion, but I think I liked Phantom Menace the most out of the three. Yeah, it had Jar Jar and little Ani, but I thought Liam Neesan played the main Jedi role of Qui-Gon Jinn very well and that made it feel more like a Star Wars film than the other two for me. I thought Maul was the best prequel villain too. I think it was a mistake killing him off in the first movie. They could've fleshed out his character in the subsequent movies rather than introducing new villains like Count Dooku.

I agree with a lot of this :lecture

I hated Revenge of the Sith the most of the three. Although, they had some pretty neat looking designs in that one.

:horror

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I meant the AMA acronym... No idea what that is...

AMA = Ask Me Anything

It's Reddit's version of a Q&A.

Cute cat! My wife brought home a dog last night that she wants for a test run but it's a lot of work with a dog and it needs way more attention then we have time to give. I just said, "Let's get another cat." She wasn't amused.

I spent the evening getting my room prepared to paint. I didn't even get a chance to open Vader. :(

Priorities, my man. An open Vader is no good without a place to display him.
