re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I have a vacation at the end of this month. Off from August 28th through September 3rd. Probably not going to be doing much, though. Should just be nice to be away from work for awhile and try to enjoy my birthday. After what I went through this past weekend, I think I've earned it.

Good for you, Ben. Relax, watch some movies, get a hooker... The good things in life.

You have 6 kids? :slap I'm amazed you have time for us at all! :lol

Sup boys? It looks like I've got some catching up to do.

We had the inspection on the new house today and it came back almost perfect so now we just have to keep at the repairs on our house and await the new closing date.
"Almost" perfect? What's not perfect?

I have that show on my Netflix queue.
Pumpkin ale is a show? I know you aren't talking about True Detective, since you've seen it already, and Netflix doesn't have it...

Yeah...banging Salacious Crumb while Leia watches? Classic 80s...
That's exactly what I was thinking before I saw you post this! :lol

Don't worry, I'll be fine but thank you. :1-1:

It means a lot that you guys could care so much about someone like me that you've never even met.
That Thing You Do! :rock

And thanks for your support... I think... :)
You got it! And you got it! :hi5:

Just relax, watch some flicks, and don't think about work! Have as much fun as you possibly can...

What happened this weekend?

:slap

It's all good. I'd rather be in WDW too. ;)

Honestly, I love WDW, but I'd rather just be off and staying home. Disney is not a relaxing vacation.

It just needs a Termite treatment, some cracks patched in the front concrete steps and a probably a new water heater in the next year or 2. That's it.

Thanks Titus. I'm not sure if you recall the crap I went through with my dad being a giant piece of trash last year, but I was trying to enjoy my normal half-day afternoon off from work on Thursday when I got a call from my mom saying that she found letters hidden underneath his spare tire in the trunk of his car. He had said since we first found out that he didn't go beyond a certain point in this relationship with this married woman, but these letters from her were really disgusting and proved he'd lied to my mom and my family all this time. I basically snapped and went over to their house yelled him and even smacked him around a bit Thursday afternoon. Took Friday and Saturday to be with my mom and support her. Ended the weekend on Sunday by having my dad make copies of the letters and phone records then I had to take him to track down their house. I made him knock on the door and apologize to the woman's husband for what he did to his family and give him the copies of the letters and phone records while I stood there to make sure he went through with it. I feel like I'm the parent and he's my stupid son.

Well, my mom seems to feel better now that she has a little closure. It took a lot out of me, though. Haven't really been the same since this all started.

Oh, and no prostitutes for me. I've dealt with a couple of whores in the past year and I think I've had enough.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Wow, Ben. That's some serious stuff you're dealing with. Sorry to hear it. Hang in there, buddy.

Wow! That's nuts, Ben! I totally remember what was going on. Honestly, I was wondering how that whole situation was going but didn't want to ask and possibly stir anything up. So your Dad and Mom are still living together. It takes balls to do what you did, that's for sure but if it helps provide closure then more to you. That's so heavy. You need some time to chill, no doubt...

iphone? IPHONE? You suck.

I know! I won't even be able to play it! :Lol If it does well we'll look at opening it up to android... iphone is the only format my brother-in-law knows how to program for at the moment.

Jeez-us!

I hope things calm down for you and your Mom! She raised a good boy!

I wish I sent you more gummi smurfs. :(

Yeah, they stuck together. My mom still seems to want to keep it together. Says that since he faced his demons he's acting like himself again. I told her from the beginning that she could stay with me and I said it again, but she keeps saying she doesn't want to put that burden on me. Doesn't really give me any closure, but I did it for my mom. She's already weakened by this, didn't want her to have to go through that.

Wow, dude. I'm proud of you for making him do that. You got balls! It sucks that it needed to be done, but I think you made the right choice.
