How the frak do you put new music from your iTunes library onto your iPod when it wants you to erase the iPod because you have moved to a new computer.

I'm frakking mad!

I'd think you might have to backup your itunes library to a disc or transfer your data with an external hard drive, but I'm not totally sure. Have never done it myself.

I made a bit of a mistake on Sideshow. I got a coupon with my Bossk figure, so I was playing around with it and seeing how I could use it. I wanted to see if I could use the coupon in conjunction with my rewards points on the Stegosaurus maquette to get it basically for free, but it didn't work. I thought I took the Stegosaurus out of my cart and pre-ordered a Hot Toys figure with it, but when I checked my account just now I have an order for Stegosaurus with a shipping soon status. I can't really afford a $350 statue right now. :thud:

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

You're right. I found a help article describing the 246 steps to do just that. Infuriating. Why can't I just leave my music on there and add the new purchases from iTunes? Well I'll be working it out tomorrow.

Sucks you screwed up like that, but you should be able to fix it no problem by calling SS first thing on Monday...

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Yeah, hopefully they'll be able to reverse it. Sucks that I'll probably lose that $25 off coupon. I swear I put Agent Coulson in my cart with the coupon code and the stegosaurus was gone. Maybe I was just tired and hallucinating. I do want one of those stego maquettes one day, though. It looks amazing.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Ben, that's the kind of mistake I need to make more often.

I wouldn't mind too much if I didn't just pay for the Hulk maquette and 3A Metal Gear Rex. Those were much bigger purchases than I normally ever make, so I'm pretty broke at the moment.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Whenever something major ships, I usually shirk responsibility on that week's bills to pay for it. I catch up eventually. Worse case scenario, I go without smokes and have to sell back old dvd's for gas to get to work.

I'm a pro at being broke. Always looking for new ways to make it work for me. :lol

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I'm trying to be more responsible lately, and I'm also trying to switch banks, which is difficult if I add stuff more stuff to the credit card I have through them that was almost paid off. They ticked me off when they added an $11 per month fee just to have a checking account through them. I'm taking my money to the credit union. If everything pans out, I should be back at the university full-time this coming fall, which is fast approaching and requires me to save a bit more.

Just saw the new riptapparel shirt for today. I think Flosi may like it.

Killer shirt.

Even cooler that you'll be back in school full time. What are you studying?

I'm finishing up my English degree and teacher certification. It should only take me a year and a half at most to finish. Now that I'm a little older than when I first started, I kind of wish I went with a different field, probably something in the sciences, but what's done is done. It'll still be nice to have the degree completed and it won't really cost me that much to finish. I'll probably be leaving Illinois to find a job once I finish.

I sort of got that extra push when I was told by my current employer that they want to promote me. My job is fine, but it's not really something that I see myself staying in as a long-term career and it depresses me at times, so I think it's time for me to move on.

Can you write fiction? That has the potential to be more lucrative (financially and spiritually) than teaching.

It's funny you should mention that. It's like we're having a mind meld or something. I've been told by many friends and teachers that I have a knack for writing. I'm actually minoring in fiction writing as I've always wanted to be a writer. I'm pursuing the teaching career, but I'll also be working on my writing at the same time.

It could be more lucrative money wise but there is something pretty special about helping young people learn. Even if its just for a second seeing that light come on when it all come together is worth it. So teaching is pretty lucrative spiritually.

How old are we talking? I'm finishing up my second degree, and even though its only an AAS, compared to my previous BFA, I'm feeling far more proud of this new degree. Oh, and I'm almost 40!
