re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Thanks, guys. Part of my mood recently is how my job is going. Some days it's just so hard coming to work to support the dumbasses I do. Helpdesk tickets can really be a pain. :gah:

Oh, I never answered your question the other day. We deal with Phillips 66, as they're the pipeline side of things. It's been an amazing transformation. :monkey1

Ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-changes!

Sucks to hear. So far, they've been good for employees.

Well, that's really the most important thing. I'm sure we'll be working with them again one day soon. Everything goes in cycles.

Just wanted to drop in and say hi gents! :wave

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Our refund is going towards paying off the debt that racked up after my unemployment got cut off. Whatever is left should cover Summer Camp tuition for my daughters. I'm so glad that we'll finally have 2 incomes after 5 years. Hopefully no more struggling and we can finally start to save.

LOL There can't be much of a LEGO/Minimate rivalry, since I'm one of only 3 or 4 boardies who even collect the latter :D Surely, LEGOs do better as "collectibles" considering how ridiculously expensive they are to begin with, and how much value they tend to accrue over time.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I doubt any self respecting LEGO collector would consider getting any of those anyway, but FYI, the C3 building blocks were notorious for not fitting and staying together very well. I guess there's a reason Minimates are only released as figures and sculpted vehicles nowadays. Funny that Minimates still have peg holes in their feet though, which is good for me because I use LEGOs to display them.

I had quite a few when they forst came out years ago. Spider-man, Hulk, Silver Surfer, etc.... I remember also having a Batmobile.
