They have animatronic dinosaurs at the Milwaukee Zoo this summer. I'd like to go up there before they're gone.

Any guitarists in here? I almost bought a cheap guitar for playing metal today but stopped myself at the last moment. I'm curious if I dodged a bullet or if it would be a cool toy to buy in the future.

Not really. I taught myself how to play the opening riff of Don't Fear the Reaper on my brother's guitar when I was a kid. I have a banjo now, but don't know how to play it.

I'm a bassist. I don't know much about guitar, other than that they're fun to make noise with (especially drunk). I think this would have served that purpose, but there are so many other things you can do with $250.

Maybe if it's still there next time I go impulse shopping.

To me, music is the best investment. Not a day goes by that I don't stop and pick up my acoustic guitar or bass and play for at least 3-5 minutes. It's the only thing on this earth that can clear my mind and sometimes save my sanity. I do have electrics as well but they're stored for now until I can dedicate a practice space and get some amps again. So needless to say but I'll say it anyways... BUY THE GUITAR!!!
