HOLY ****!!!! Just looked at the price $479 :google :google :google

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

That sucks Aliaz. That's just bad luck. Hopefully the new manager will like you, too. Too bad the old manager didn't hire you first, and then quit.

Yeah pretty bummed but thats probably why its taken so long for them to decide. Dont think he wanted to hire alot of new staff and then just leave us hanging. Hoping for the best anyway, could get the chance anyway, depends on who the new manager will be. The guy I talked to today is still involved in the process so hopefully he can get the new manager to consider us. And since it is a bit of a rush since the new store opens in november I dont really think they want to start over completely with the recruiting.

And no stormtroopers today :( and the post office has lost one of my packages it seems :(

Pretty much, I'd be a sad panda if I was still collecting Marvel premium formats. Waiting years for a classic Wolverine and then he comes out looking like that, jeezuz! :monkey4

Yeah, it's definitely one of the bigger misses... which is funny since they don't have to get a specific likeness, just capture the character and make the face reasonable. I'd say it's on-par in fugliness with the Elvis PF and Cyclops sculpts:

That's a really odd looking sculpt. Its not like he's growling or yelling, its like he's in this weird half smile grimace tucking in his lips :dunno....I don't get it :huh

Maybe it's his first time takimg it up the poopenshaft... ;) - preda-TOR

I also want to learn how to play the ukulele.

Work is a real pain today. I was already super busy and I have to move desks as well. Gonna eat a big chunk of my time that I don't have. They've moved me six or seven times in the last three or four years. Very frustrating.

Do you guys hate the original Wolvie PF too ?

I never owned it... but it looked like a great piece. And honestly everything on this new one is top-notch, even the detail on the face is great, they just really missed the mark on the expression.

It looks like a screaming/Ghost Rider skull to me with the missing upper lip and odd musculature around the mouth. Hopefully they revise it, but it's of little matter to me since it's not anything I'd collect :lol

That last Wolverine PF was $299.99! Crazy how much they've gone up.

Yeah it;s nuts,.
Not sure anymore how much is inflations and how muchis just gouging. ? :dunno:

I didn't. I really liked mine.

I have the original Sabertooth and Wolverine and I like them both.

I think this one looks great. I like the pose a lot. I would never display that unmasked sculpt. The masked is good.
I do not like not having any cloth/leather apparel.
Makes it feel like what the were doing in the phillipines with 1/4 scale for some time.

I have the cyclops and once again would never display the face sculpt.

I really wanted the storm but she was so ugly I could not bring myself to do it.

I've wanted a ukulele for years but really good ones are just as expensive as full sized guitars. Plus I'm worried my kids might think it was one of their toy guitars and trash it lol.

We're going to be moving at work next week as well. We're moving all operations to the newly renovated space on the first floor. It's friggin gorgeous, very modern, so I welcome the new scenery. Plus I'll finally have my own independent desk for the first time in like 6 years. The only thing I don't like is that they're taking away our PCs with 3 monitors to a laptop with a dock and 2 monitors. It will be weird working off a laptop full time. Though I'm hoping this opens up opportunity to work from home on bad weather occasions.

Before my last move, they moved my desk 4 times in 2 years so I feel you.

I don't know, guys... They were going for the John Byrne look.

Not perfect, but at least I understand the attempt.

I find the black ears on his mask to be the most distracting... It looks like the put the yellow/blue mask on the yellow/brown suit.

Damn, spot-on :lol

Drop the mic...

Congrats to all !

Awesome! I'm not surprised by the ruling, but still relieved to see they came through :rock :rock :rock

Yeah, I definitely get what they were going for... but what works in 2D just doesn't work here, a good effort but I can see how anyone would look at that sculpt and be like; yep... that's a keeper :huh

And I agree about the mask, the head does look like it belongs on a different suit.

You see that too then, huh?? SS should be putting maximum effort into this piece. Wolverine was the biggest SH in the world at one time.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I've never met a string instrument I didn't like, but I'm trying to picture Ben playing a banjo and it's not working out for me. He is the antithesis of hillbilly.

I can see how you might not be, though...:monkey3

My hang up was whether or not I was wasting money on a BC Rich (Bich; blue, Masterpiece series). It's pretty, and I don't need a $5000 Fender, so the sound isn't a problem, but even cheap, I don't want to buy a piece of complete junk. I'm thinking it will be fine for what I want, but whenever I think about buying a guitar, I think of how much better of an instrument I could get. I could buy more basses, and that $250 could go toward that.

I'll let you know what happens. If it's still there in a couple weeks, chances are high that it will be mine. :rock

A BC Rich?!?! You're pulling at my heart strings now. You GOTTA buy it! They've been one of my favorite guitars since I was a kid. Every metal band in the 80's used one. They're not the best sounding but they look awesome and are fun to play. It's funny actually. A few weeks ago, someone on a local FB group was selling a cheap Kerry King model with a coffin case for $150. I wanted it soooo bad but just can't swing it right now.
