It was like Aughra predicted. The planets aligned, such an excellent time with fine fellows. :D

Ahh yes, The Great Conjunction! :)

The Con itself was not without some regret for me though. There's so much more that I wish I did differently. Oh well, I'll know better for next time.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I'm from VA, hill people really. So I'm used to banjos. :lol

I've never met a string instrument I didn't like, but I'm trying to picture Ben playing a banjo and it's not working out for me. He is the antithesis of hillbilly.

I can see how you might not be, though...:monkey3

BUY THE GUITAR!!!

My hang up was whether or not I was wasting money on a BC Rich (Bich; blue, Masterpiece series). It's pretty, and I don't need a $5000 Fender, so the sound isn't a problem, but even cheap, I don't want to buy a piece of complete junk. I'm thinking it will be fine for what I want, but whenever I think about buying a guitar, I think of how much better of an instrument I could get. I could buy more basses, and that $250 could go toward that.

I'll let you know what happens. If it's still there in a couple weeks, chances are high that it will be mine. :rock

Re: (FLOSI'S Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

The banjo is okay, but that dumb ass cartoon? :slap

It's a great cartoon, fury. It's got everything.

:lol

Never seen it. Only cartoon I watch these days is Teen Titans Go!

Banjo is still weird.

I watch Teen Titans Go! too. It's a great show as well. Let's see, now I watch Regular Show, Clarence, Teen Titans Go, Adventure Time and Gravity Falls. I used to really like Dan vs., but they cancelled it.

They are really cool. I'd need lessons, though, and there isn't really anybody around here that teaches banjo.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I was a fan of the first TT cartoon, and I was bummed that they were taking it in a comedy direction, but it's funny as hell.

If you want to learn banjo, just look up some scales and chords online. And how to tune it. Then practice.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I used to like watching Adventure Time, but I think the guys making them are on serious drugs. I tried watching a recent episode and I just don't get the show.

Got a call today about the job I applied for a while ago.

Apparently the manager has decided to quit because his daughter has a serious illness and he feels he cant handle both her rehabilitation and run the store. And I feel really bad for him.

So now they are searching for a new manager and then he will decide who he hires. So it could really go either way now. The Recruiter I talked with Said that he Didnt really know either, since the new manager whoever he is should be interested in the canditates that they have headhunted.

Got alot of praise from the Recruiter (the same guy that was present at the interview) though. And if things hadnt gone this way I would have been "a key person in the team running the store". So Im kinda walking on sunshine abit now. :) but damn I dont want this chance to slip away. Just gotta wait and see I guess.

I agree. I still watch it, but it's gotten so weird that it's almost incomprehensible. It used to be weird in a charming way. Regular Show is still fantastic, though.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

One more work day, and I'm home alone since last night until Monday evening of anyone wants to come hang out! ;)

I'm joining a yoga studio this weekend. Just starting with a ten class pass though... :panic:

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

How come the new Wolverine at the top of the page looks like Fire Marshall Bill? Very strange choice to play Wolverine. :cuckoo:

It's a blue-gray color. Could you possibly have color vision deficiency?

I don't know. I don't think so. Never thought I had color issues. But you could be right.

Banjos are ****ing AWESOME!!! :rock
Ya, I love banjos! That blue Muppet plays a banjo. What's his name... Oh yeah, Kermit!

Yeah, same here. But until we invent a time machine, we can't fix it...

That sucks Aliaz. That's just bad luck. Hopefully the new manager will like you, too. Too bad the old manager didn't hire you first, and then quit.

I've never seen either. I don't have cable, so no Adult Swim for me.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Saw Ted 2 last night. HILARIOUS!!! I think funnier than the first!
I can honestly say they do NOT give the movie away in the trailer. Most of the stuff from the trailer occurs early in the movie.
I plan on seeing it again. And if there is an unrated BD later, I'm totally buying it. Oh, and this goes without saying. STAY TIL THE END OF THE CREDITS!!!

I actually went to see a movie in a movie theater 5 of the last 7 days. Wow. I can't remember the last time I did that!

I got a new Star Wars figure.

Haven't had time to futz. Just took the Bespin jacket off and tucked in the holster strap. He rocks.

Their art direction is so far off the rails, and it seemss like the biggest trainwrecks happen when it counts most.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

They have animatronic dinosaurs at the Milwaukee Zoo this summer. I'd like to go up there before they're gone.

They had them at the Cleveland Zoo 2 or 3 years ago, they're pretty fun. Definitely cheesey, but worth checking out.

That's a really odd looking sculpt. Its not like he's growling or yelling, its like he's in this weird half smile grimace tucking in his lips :dunno....I don't get it :huh

Pretty much, I'd be a sad panda if I was still collecting Marvel premium formats. Waiting years for a classic Wolverine and then he comes out looking like that, jeezuz! :monkey4
