That sphero BB-8 is pretty cool, I just hope they come out with one a tad bit larger.

That's my hope... but pretty sure it won't happen. Sphero seems to have used the same size ball on BB8 they used on their regular sphero balls. So, unlikely they'd make a larger version. Bummer too as it's just a bit under 1/6, but enough to look out of scale.

$0 spent on TFA toys, but I did buy some pumpkin ales in Dallas.

No toys for me either, I'm interested in a BB8, but I'm in no hurry.

I did read Aftermath, and honestly it was pretty weak. The story was okay, but writing was sub-par. Really hoping this is not a sign of things to come for the series.

I can only assume that it's a cost saving measure. Five molds as opposed to double that has to save a fortune.

Not to mention they can then release a v2 of all the figures with increased articulation. You can't reliably de-articulate and get sales, but you certainly can add it and get customers to double-dip.

Got my Target BB8! The target by my job had 1. Of course he's not on sale so I took him to customer service. Manager gave me the sale price + $10 off 50 coupon so $80 bb8 cost me $45!
