This came out great. Sculpt looks like an upgrade, but this is way down on my list . Too many other preorders and I have the previous release. The older version is good enough for now. Congrats to all who got this.

Amazing how in this short handheld video, he makes the figure look better than 60+ blogger photos. HT really needs to update their blogger/first look approach IMO.
I'd be happy to take a stab at it!

So that video reveals something interesting, they're using the newer, non-magnet style connection, which I'm happy about because the magnet necks can be a bit weak sometimes, this is a much sturdier method.

I love this figure already.
It looks like they changed the neck adapter so we can’t just swap out the heads.
the neck adapter is correct. its a square piece so you have to line up the sculpt.

I think the angry sculpt actually looks good, it's just those garbage blogger photos didn't showcase it very well.

With some dynamic eye placement, the angry expression should look very good.

I hope to use it on the Naboo Duel version, which would have a more dynamic pose.

The neutral -- hard stare -- expression I plan to use with the cloak. But I may hate to waste it, half hidden.

Yeah the cloak is definitely a bitter sweet option for that very reason, I agree.

Interesting how the bloggers photos are once again making a figure look listless and flat. Can't wait to see it end up in the hands of the talent in here to really showcase it. The video reviews should help too.

While I'm glad to see the neck magnet got ditched, I'm not a huge fan of the current style neck piece. Lining it up sometimes risks wonking the eye adjustments and the hard plastic can be a little unnerving when clicking the head into place.

Portraits look good, really liking the neutral one.

Unfortunately, I think being a blogger takes a toll on creativity, and there are time constraints. As much as I would love to be an HT blogger, I'm not sure the demands of being one would be something I could handle over time.
I doubt HT puts much thought into who does their blogger shoots. It's no secret for years now that they're looked at unfavorably by the community. Any ass hat with a semi-decent camera and lens can take photos of simular quality.

It's their product pics on SSC they care about, and that shows.

Are the bloggers getting paid for their photos?
Surely not. Just name recognition would be my guess. For all the good that does..

Lighting is always off. Posing is always awkward looking. Eyes aren't positioned properly for the shot.

Just an awful way to attempt to showcase a product, "officially".
