I used a whole bunch of rewards points and got the 1/4 Hot Toys Boba Fett for free. I think it'll be my one and only 1/4 action figure.

I have no tickets still. I haven't decided on if I go while out of town on Thur or Fri or just go when I get back home next week during the day to avoid annoying crowds. Also depends on the waves, if Pipe Masters is running I am heading up to watch that.

Meh, conspiracy theories. Sideshow cash crab, Sideshow exit strategy, pressure from Disney, last ditch effort to compete with Hot Toys.....the real reason is irrelevant, fact is I've lost any last shred of respect or faith in Sideshow as a company that was left.

Rising prices, questionable business practices, consistently inconsistent products and quality control have all added up to me abandoning Sideshow as a whole. I have zero products on pre order from them, and unless they go back to releasing less popular characters like Dengar or 4LOM that HT won't touch, I have no use for them. They are just mt Hot Toys distributor now.

Totally agree... I don't care what the reason is, these reissues are total BS. Sideshow is a 2nd rate company charging above 1st rate prices.

I'll still order a few of the OT pieces they have coming out since I'm a sucker.

SS can keep their Walrus Man now.... I'm done with them. Even the Tie Pilot looks crappy to me.

Tie Pilot's pretty dope, but I can understand when you're done, you're done.

So I watched the Harmy version of Star Wars for the first time last night... holy cow that is a crisp picture! Can't wait to watch the other two this week!

Shameful... and the funny thing is Hot Toys will also do dumb **** like a copper trooper, but then drop amazing pieces like this. Or a build a 1/6 Falcon just because they can.

I had the same thought; I guess they were going with what the raw droid prop would look like... but I don't think it's even accurate to any archival information. Should have just called it a silver version

I remember once toying with the idea of buy one, open one and have a spare. But then I realized I don't care about unopened packages and that I don't want to spend 3x the money to own a figure so I never went down that path.

I got about $470 and i have no idea what to use them on. Part of me wants to keep saving in case Hot Toys makes something (more) expensive from Star Wars but i also still need to order Vader, Sandtrooper and Spacetrooper
