I started watching it yesterday. It's been a little slow, but once Godzilla goes off, all hell breaks loose.

It's shot really well. I've heard complaints about the CG looking bad, but I thought it was fine. Nice picture quality, too.

I always watch a movie in its original language, so there is a lot of subtitle reading.

To me they're fairly similar. Lots of people talking about Godzilla, military fighting Godzilla, Godzilla tearing **** up. Just like all Godzilla movies before them.

Shin Godzilla's pretty good. Tons of dialogue. More than any other Godzilla movie, and it gets a little dry at times. I really like the gnarly design of him, though. Probably would've still preferred a guy in a suit, but I guess those days are over now.

His first incarnation was laughable. He looked like a crawling chicken with googly eyes. But once he changed, he got way cooler looking.

Yeah, he's pretty goofy. Kinda reminds me of a grilled shark with googly eyes.

Another small complaint I have is Shin Godzilla seemed kind of robotic in his movements some of the time when he's in his final form. I like Godzilla to kind of look around and show a little expression, but Shin Godzilla just sort of walked in a straight line without moving his head or the upper part of his body, and it looked kind of weird sometimes.

Anyone here use the philips Hue lights? I'm looking for something for my display room, but other LEDs have a lot more lumens which, I think, would show stuff off better. I'm not completely sold on the lights through an app yet either.

My buddy loves them but he always wants that stuff. I don't need to change the color of lights or turn on or off, dim from my phone.

I've heard mixed things. I think I'll focus on lumens rather than the automated aspect.

Unless you want colors I don't see a point to get them. You can automate in other ways. The biggest thing I would start with is color temperature.
