I'm going to repaint the surfboard to a star wars scheme.

That looks great! And perfect for the tikis. What did you use to make that?

And yeah, I saw those at a tiki bar in Vegas and ordered both sets from Thinkgeek shortly after I got home. I also got Jabba and Crumb from eBay. I don’t know why I needed them, but I thought they were cool. :lol

thanks dw. made the hut from bamboo sticks I found at Lowe's in the garden dept (cut to length & hot glued). the roof is craft grass/straw. I also put some battery operated mini flamingo & pineapple lights I found at dollar general. stuck some shells and artificial flowers in there too. I'll post a pic of the jabba bamboo throne when i finish it.
<-----dork.....:lol

It's a great display for them! Very nicely done!

Punk and Kenben, how was C2E2 this year?

It was good. I didn't buy much of anything though. Saw none of the items you had mentioned. I just grabbed a few Alien minimates, some Spawn sketch covers, Batman micro machines, and a spawn shirt...that I found out I already have. lol. Crowds and costumes were good, never seemed too crowded this year even on Saturday.
The highlight of my weekend was meeting up with Angel Medina for dinner on Friday. He's a comic book artist and wasn't even at the show this year, but told Angie and I he wanted to take us out next time we were in town. We went to Rosebud and the food was amazing! We spent like 4 1/2 hours just hanging out and chatting. We had an awesome time.

That's cool. You're getting into the McFarlane inner circle. I've never had Rosebud, but I have driven by the one in Deerfield.

Yeah, I went up to Kenosha, WI. on Saturday. The Gamestop there had one of the Godzilla vinyl figures I collect in stock, but when I went to try and buy it, they told me it was a pre-order. Then I found a few of those Mezco One:12 figures I was really looking for while browsing through online comic shops and placed an order, but they ended up cancelling it and told me there was a glitch in their system. All in all, a pretty bad toy hunting weekend. I did find the whole Solo movie Black Series wave at Target for $5.00 each, so that was pretty cool.

Ugh, everyone is finding those on clearance... my store is full price. Good snag Ben.

I only bought Yoda, Jabba and Crumb, and I think I got one in a Smuggler's Bounty or Lootcrate box, but can't remember what. They're cute, but I don't need them all...

It wasn't one of the better years, for me. It seemed less crowded, but also had less programming that interested me, and I didn't find many bargains. I got some Aliens and Muppets mini-mates (all of which Punk pointed out to me), and a Silent Bob figure. I spent $40 total, not counting food or admission. I also won the 501st Droid Hunt. I got 3 hardcover SW novels (including Tarkin, but not a rare 1st print) and a Wookiee 2-pack.

I totally forgot Lloyd Kaufman was there from Troma. I'm upset I didn't swing by his booth and try to meet him... I also failed at meeting any celebrities, although I did get somewhat close to Dave Bautista and snuck a picture... And I started to head to Alan Tudyk, but he went on break. I saw him from 50 feet away...

Awwwwwwwww, thanks bud! :grouphug

That sucks... I assume you meant you got the Solo figs for $5 at WALMART not Target, since I know others who scored them for $5 there. Target would never have an even price like that... I found several of them at Target, but am missing 4-LOM and Qi'ra still...

Thanks. Yeah, it's one of the better deals I've gotten. $30 for the whole first wave, should have been $120 if they were at retail price.

The Target by my work has been remodeling so I've found a lot of really old toys lately as well. A lot of the old Vintage Collection figures from 2010/2011 have been popping up on the shelves there and they've been selling them to me for super cheap. Last week I found a Tie Pilot, Stormtrooper, and smashed up Logray and they gave them to me for $1.00 each.

That's a bummer. If I go, it's usually to bargain hunt, but the bargains have been rather scarce the last few times I went to a convention. I heard some reports of people finding those Mezco figures I've recently started collecting for retail price, which would have been pretty cool to find, but scrounging through all that junk can be overwhelming. I might call some of the comic shops around here to see if they have any.

Dave Bautista looks like a pretty scary dude. I don't think I'd want to meet him. Maybe the Undertaker, though.

It was definitely Target. Not all of them had Black Series at that clearance price, but a couple did. I did also find Death Star Trooper, Jawa, and Tarkin at Wal-Mart for $5.00, but I left them since I already got them for that price at Target.
