Gandalf the White PF Edition Size

People are all over a "stealth" Iron Man, but an Icon like Gandalf sits on the shelves.

For what it's worth, that would not have been the case if this were Gandalf The Gray. THAT is the iconic Gandalf for many. I'll be all over that one when SSC makes it.

With fairly poor sales of the first 3 LOTR PF's, I don't think we will ever get that far and see GTG made.

Honestly, GTW may be the death of the line. If they have another one close to ready we may see 1 more, but I can't see SS continuing to sink R&D into a line that can't even sell out an exclusive ES of 500 quickly.

But they said they were currently working on 2 more.

The problem as i see it is it is just taking far too long between announcements, and then when there is an announcement its taking too long between that announcement and actually shipping to customers. I appreciate that there is difficulties in the fabrication of the costumes but one year gaps are still too much.

I mean no offense to Marvel or it's fans, but I think the Marvel stuff sells so well due to so many bandwagoners trying to cash in. There are tons of true Marvel fans out there who buy as well, but there are a lot of people who buy these to cash in later. Nothing wrong with it, but I just think that's why it sells so well. 1 or 2 pieces become "grails" and it drives demand up for most of the pieces that follow.

It wasn't that long ago LOTR was at the top of the food chain, but those days are long gone. I'd be really surprised if this PF sells out quickly. I ordered one but don't know if I'll keep it...the apron and stance are really starting to bug me!
