Well, I'll be the first to admit that it's not ideal. But actually everything except the face sculpt is outstanding, and the sculpt is not bad at all when you see it in person. I don't have any regrets about getting it for the price I paid.

This is the first I'm seeing this figure, and I LOVE IT! That's not hard because I love the character from the movies more than any other anyway, heh. Definitely going to have to search around for this guy, anyone know of any online retailers still selling this, or is eBay the only option?

Not sure if he's still in stock anywhere but you should be able to find him really cheap on the bay (especially a regular)

Ebay would have good prices on him and is probably your best bet....He is a great piece, even better in person than what you can see in the pics...I definately love mine. If you can, I would try to find an exclusive. I prefer mine displayed with the sword in his other hand...

No Exclusive's on eBay. However, I did found the regular version at Alter Ego Comics for $179, which was a price I couldn't pass up, so I went ahead and purchased it. Hopefully everything works out well. That price seemed too good to be true and I'm waiting to find out that it was a mistake or it's out of stock or something, hehe. Being new to SideShow stuff, this Gandalf marks my first Premium Fig.
Since I saved some money on Gandalf, I see Sideshow has the exclusive Aragorn on Second Chance....thinking about forgetting about the Asajj Ventress PF I was going to buy, and getting an Aragorn to compliment my Gandalf here, hehe.

That's a great price for the regular gandalf...congrats!!! I'd go for the aragorn PF. The likeness is amazing as is his clothing...I'd say he is right up there with Lurtz!!

There's no reason to think it's a mistake. He's just not a very good seller. I got mine for $155 on clearance, but $179 is also a great price.

Alright. My first PF ever, it here, and all I can really say is... I LOVE IT! Guess I'm going to need more of these. Whats next? Lurtz? Aragorn? Asajj Ventress? Guess I can wait on Asajj until I get Anakin next month...oh, and I forgot the Moria Orc, going to need that one too.....anyway, that's besides the point! hehe This figure is great, and I'm so glad people here encouraged me to get him.

pics CF very nice and i'm glad u love it as thats all that counts and i know that excitement of your first PF as i picked up my first-Lurtz at the start of the year.I have both Lurtz and Aragorn which IMHO are the best PF's so far no doubt.Whilst i think GTW isn't bad its generally his pose and the skin tone-tan that gets criticised by most.The detail on his clothing is outstanding but i'm still holding out for GTG.
I'd say get Aragorn now while you can and its fairly cheap and then look at Lurtz. If your happy with GTW, you'll be blown away by Aragorn.
