Pretty refreshing to see nice statues not based on a license for once, that's how it should be more often, it's art afterall.

Sexy pin-up style. At first I thought they were dolls. As resin I won't buy, unless the paint ends up as good as on the first pics - which I doubt. The very first one is really what I'd like to see Hot-Toys producing, only them can do amazing details, and that statue already looks like it's designed to be a doll, with clothing covering joints. Actually, except "Whisper" they all look like they were designed to be dolls.
And well, HT's BabyDoll is great.

Those illustrations are great too, I'd rather see statues/maquettes based on them, Samurai Jack-style. That doesn't require as much detail & has less chances to fail.

Really? At the same time I didn't like the protos, except the german zombie maybe, & possibly Rocket.

Now maybe if you're comparing to SideShow's stuff, ok, but I don't much like the quality of SS's statues either. It's something with the painted faces, it's hard to enjoy them after being used to Hot Toy's hyper-realism (even though I don't like HT's Amber either, & to be honnest HT's Suckerpunch figures look like the quality of dolls 3 years ago, somewhere in-between CY-girl's doll faces & today's photorealistic faces)

Sucker Punch 2 doesn't need to be based off these new HT characters! They could still make the movie and GG and SS would make SP2 characters in addition. It's a win win. New movie and even more statues!

it was epic too bad it didn't win any oscars. Don't why why? Sexy costumes, great acting, suspense, great story, great intense action, what more can we all ask for?

I wasn't that impressed with them and I'm not sure why. In theory, I should love them, but I don't think they are very inspired or successful character designs. If they produce them as nice as the SP girls, they should turn out nice though.

IMO the Honey Trap look better as far as statues than the SP line. But from a character stand point HT doesn't have a foot to stand on yet. SP on the other hand is a full-feature movie and one I happen to enjoy.

Well I'm new to this game, currently only into original movie posters but I got sucked into the Hot Toys with after seeing the new Black Widow, the more I search through this forum the more I regret it then I stumble upon this thread! I'm snatching Whisper and sticking her right next to my Death Is A Woman British Quad...

I guess I'm not buying anymore posters for a while.
