GG are really churning out some quality stuff.

Bought a dementor bust a month or two back and was blown away by the detail and the paint work!

Not sure if I will collect this line. I thought SSW did a great job with their bust line, some were "off" but most are amazing for sculpting and not scanning.

the only curse now is you have to endure GG's painfully slow turnover at producing new stuff

Well that and .....................

MONSTEROUSLY OVER-INFLATED EDITION SIZES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :google :google :google

I am going to wait to order Aragorn, until this is announced.

Why should the ES affect whether you collect a line or not? Either you like the product or not, right?

For stingy folks like myself, who spend over 500-1000 a month on collectibles, it's nice to know the ES so I can make a decision on whether to buy it now or wait for the prices to come down on ebay. On the flipper side, it lets me know whether to just one, or more for trade fodder down the road.

Exactly! I collect an item because I like it, but I don't like spending more than I have to. That has nothing to do with "investment" collecting, it is just being smart. If I pre-order something for say $50, and then later can find it $10-15 cheaper, than why not wait? Given GG's track record, I am fairly certain these will have a HUGE ES, so I am on the sidelines, just watching.

Exactly. Buyers who ordered an ESB Yoda bust at full retail and later saw them for $12 on Amazon didn't have to be flippers to be disappointed by the drop in value resulting from the huge edition size. Wait and get it later for less.

On the other hand, can somebody get on eBay and grab me one of those recently released Palpatine busts?

I don't want to pay more than $35.

I have to say I heard from many people that the Viggo was the best anyone has ever done glad to see that they were right. As for the drawer thing its probably the only way they make them you know how it is you can't make mini busts as we already did that BUT you can make mini bust that are jewelry boxes or something because we only did that with a couple enviroments. Licenses are funny. Oh and Tom pm me I might be able to dig a palpy for you but you have to buy a yoda for 40 Bucks as well LOL.

I'll order Plo Koon and both LOTR busts from you if you can get me a Palpy! :monkey1

Didn't know the damned thing would be so hard to find!

Yea, that Aragorn is the best I've seen. Only thing that turns me off is the whole jewelry case deal...it's a deal breaker, unfortunately =(

Strider looks awesome. The likeness is on the spot. Hopefully it is at the con and I'll take more pics from different angles .

Kind of my thoughts as well or how I collect anyways. I understand people don't want to lose money on the items they collect.

Because for me I don't want to. When it's ready to ship I want it to be shipping to me. Also I really don't care if it drops in price after I've gotten mine. That's the way the cookie crumbles. :lol

All of the retailers have these for $40 right now. I'm happy at the prices because I really thought these would be in the $60-70 (retail) range with how great they are.

As for waiting, I don't see these moving too much in price unless the ES is 5K or less. You should be able to find these around $40 for a while. An occasional eBay auction may dip to $25-30 but that'll be rare. I think $40 is a great price for these and it makes me feel more comfortable about collecting this line.

Call me crazy but some see a low ES as a mean to scalp a bust for $375 then act like it never happened. What a "good deal".

I said collect. ES is a main factor in whether people flip something or not. Certainly why I did. Anytime you'd like to show me where I acted like it never happened feel free.
