Let's play a game.

Set both of these trailers running simultaneously and play 'spot the difference'...

Okay. Sony just put up the international trailer officially on Youtube in English. And, yeah. It being in English makes it worse. When Leslie Jones stage dives and no one catches her (which in itself is hilarious, because it's such an original gag) her response is "I don't know if it was a race thing or a lady thing, but I'm mad as hell." I'm impressed. Not only did she call out racists and sexists, but also manages to play up the sassy, angry black woman stereotype even more.

And Hemsworth's character is stereotyped even further as the adolescent "only one thing on their minds" male with the ghost boobs "I can make them bigger" gag.

Edit: Also noticed they changed "30 years ago four scientists..." to "30 years ago four friends..."

What's the point having the whole women power thing by having female GB's then contradicting it by having a male character making a boob joke? :dunno

What's the point of this movie at all? We want a relatively serious, albeit with a little humor, GB movie, and we're getting the opposite. This is a spoof of the franchise, just like all of those "scary movie" movies. We just need to accept that that is what this is, and if that is something you're into, great. It will be good for a laugh here and there, but it's no more a GB movie than Scary Movie was to the horror franchises.

Leslie is close to quitting twitter, she publicly said that she is thinking about the possibility of deleting her account :lol

either sony put their foot down (finally) and told her to quit, or she had enough of the hate, but that second option is weird because she seemed to love to fight

What sort of comments was she getting? Has Sony's Twitter been trolled?

she was getting both troll posts (calling her a gorilla) and real criticism. she replied to both the same way (F K YOU HATERS BLOCKED) whether troll or legitimate person her answers were pretty angry tweets. but after the trailer she went off the rails :lol

I guess it's not her fault she was cast in this abomination. But she is possibly one of the worse things in the movie. :lol

What made ghostbuster reaally great is the mix of comedy. / drama and tense scary scenes. They have forgotten all this and went slapstick low brow stupid.

Some of the best scenes in GB are the more serious scary stuff followed by a joke.

Library ghost/ followed by the, running out the building
Slimers attack/ and the classic line
Dana'/ possession / and Peters reaction.
Gozer' entering our world/ and the form he takes

These scenes were written as serious tense scary moments, follow by lighthearted humor....not fart jokes and smacking people...

This movie is going to be beyond awful. Just watched the trailer for the first time. I'll never get those 2 1/2 minutes back....:slap:gah:

Well, if you look at it as the trailer prevented you from paying to see the movie and losing 100+ minutes of your life, then it's practically a public service on Sony's part.

Thank you Sony, for showing us just how absolutely awful this film is. Worst thing is, those were likely the best parts of the movie.

Shame on them.

I thought Terminator Genisys was ****house; ^THIS^ , T-5 & TMNT (2014) are looking to be the unholy trinity of abhorrent occurances for all time.
