Maybe not here, but these ladies are taking a real beating on Facebook and Twitter. I've seen really bad stuff. I have no desire to see this, but I'd probably get over defensive too if I got half the **** these women have gotten.

What type of beating? "This looks like a ****y movie!" or "We despise your gender!" Because the narrative they are trying to pitch to the world is certainly the latter.

"We can't have female ghostbusters because only men can fight imaginary ghosts in a make believe movie." Has anyone posted anything remotely like this *anywhere?*

Because, you know, that's what these progressive champions are supposedly fighting against according to the Jimmy Kimmel clip.

Nope, exactly. Their pathetic attempt at making this more than it is, is just sad. Bottom line: people hate ****** remakes. This is a ****** remake.

I can honestly say when I saw the trailer the last thing on my mind was the cast being women. I think that goes for a lot of us. I without a doubt made my decision based on just how crappy the comedy and trailer were.

Is ur girl a conservative? Are u guys both right? Im definitely marrying a cool level headed conservative girl if i marry again. Hopefully lol.

Nah, she could give a **** about politics. But ideologically were the same.

This just hit an all new, ugly low. Apparently Patton Oswalt saw a video by internet superstar James Rolfe about him not wanting to watch the movie and brought it to attention, and now all the "supporters" of this movie is attacking James, who might know as the Angry Video Game Nerd and a really nice guy in real life. I rarely used the word "victim" but is totally a attack on a person who did nothing just because he has internet fame.

Here's Jame's original video:

Here's an explanation on what really happened:

The article made me laugh actually. It didn't go the angle of misogyny or politics, so to me it was pretty legit.

I only watched his first video but seemed like he was doing it to get a reaction. Mission accomplished.

Imagine if you had a huge fan base that would DEMAND a review of a film you don't wanna see. You'd be obliged to make a statement video to avoid backlash in the comment section of every new video you post.

It seems stupid but that's the reality of bein' a youtuber. Fans are ****s. :lol

I don't remember the specifics but I thought he came off like a bit of an a-hole on the video I watched. But again I don't know this guy.

Too much drama around a movie that will likely be forgotten in a few months. From both sides.
