Doesn't matter to me what Hard Master looks like...he just has to play the role of dying (via Zartan) that sets up the intense rivalry between Storm Shadow and Snake-Eyes.
I am curious to see what Zartan looks like though...
Will they show this story in the movie? Probably not....Cause that would be too aWESOME, AND WE KNOW THAT MOVIE IS GONNA SUCK.

Flint
Is this a joke?
Ripcord (Marlon Waynes)
Guys doesnt Dennis Quaid look embarassed?
No, he looks like he is about to draw down on some C.O.B.R.A. evil!
I hope this movie is stupid fun.
I'm now convinced that you are not for real.
Although I admit to SOME joking. I am still of a mind that this movie can be a good movie even if it does step away from the classic RAH look.
After everything is said and done, we will not know until it comes out. If there is one thing that I have learned, it is that costumes very frequently look much different when viewed on the big screen than they do in the pub stills.
You can pretty much tell how well a movie is going to be by how goofy the characters look in costume. Quaid's face tells me, "Ya know, hell, it's better than the unemployment line." The casting of Marlon Wayans reinforces this. Anyone see D&D (like you'd even admit it )? It really amazes me how Hollywood takes on these movies and exploits them as potential fire sale cash cows rather than at least spend some decent effort in getting them done right. Personally, I would've used The Unit as a bible for this license about how a team show can be done well. Sadly from what I'm seeing and reading, I really doubt this movie will be worth the wholesale value of a small bag of popcorn, let alone, the price of a movie ticket. Don't get me wrong. I'll be one of the dedicated to catch the flick on opening night with all the nostalgic curiosity of a G.I. Joe fan. Sadly, my gut tells me I won't be walking away genuinely surprised (like I was with Transformers) but moreso condemning the fact that I just wasted 88 minutes of my life that I'll never get back having paid yet another director to bastardize yet another childhood addiction.
I'll be curious to see the movie adaption. I used to watch the cartoon, had the complete toy and comic collection in my pre-marriage / kids days. I since sold the collection and haven't kept up with the new Joe toons, comics or toys.
IMO:
The problem with a Joe movie is the large base of potential characters. Everyone will be disappointed if their favorite character isn't portrayed and by the board's reaction how their favorite character is portrayed. Pulling off a successful adaption of a beloved franchise will be difficult. The story encompasses too many of the characters the movie will lack direction and flop. It is best to focus on a few main characters with a solid story and take the heat from the masses about their favorite character being excluded.
I am far less in the know about Joe current events and movie info than most in this section but I won't judge the movie from early promo shots. Why any movie puts those out is beyond me. Based on board responses from people more informed, I'll have modest expectations so I won't be too surprised either way.
