Thanks, Bro! :banana

It's funny...right now all the kids are outside playing GI JOE! :rock :lol :rock

It's great to see that, brings back memories :monkey2 and it's great to see my nieces get into it and kick some butt! :rock :rock :rock

That's what I'm talking about..

I'm in TRU right now, getting my nephew some GI goodies....Snake Eyes in hand.

I really wish this movie came out 8 or 9 years ago...:(

:lol I hear you CP....

My nephew is going nuts over it

I'll be honest with you.....you sitting, don't want to scare you with my age, I'm 42 (but going on 24) and I have to tell ya...I really enjoyed GI regardless of all its silliness.....was easily absorbed by me. I just took it all in and grinned from ear to ear!

My wife said it's just me subconsciously trying to reverse my age for my 1 yr old son......she's right.....:lol

It did. But unforutantly, after it was over, all the doo doo parts came bubbling up. :(

Also, I reeeeaaaally hated the line right after McCullen becomes Destro...its a tight close up, and he says...

"I will now live up to my family's legacy" or something like that....I mean cripes....did we need that line?

We couldnt put two and two together? 1800's McCullen wears an iron mask. 200whatever's McCullen wears an iron mask. Irony.

Saw this today and loved it :rock

It was definitely a fun movie, just like a G.I. Joe movie should be. Lots of references to the cartoon as well, so that was pleasantly surprising. I didn't like the Baroness/Duke relationship all that much (not as "deep" as it was), but other than that, no real complaints! A hell of a lot of action/gunfire/explosions, and I thought the effects were really well done. They set up the next movie perfectly too. Can't wait :rock

This movie will definately be in my Blu-ray collection, I'm guessing by Christmas to help sell more Hasbro toys.

That's fine by me.

Bah. You can choose a much better time...

When I was 8-9, I went to the theater to see these movies called THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, SUPERMAN II and RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK. Hell, even E.T., BLADE RUNNER and POLTERGEIST at age 10. I don't think that era will be topped, ever.

The poor subsequent generations are getting screwed. :(

I saw this and I thought it was better than I was expected, but still nowhere near where it should have been. The whole Duke-Baroness relationship was stupid and essentially ruined the Baroness, one of the few characters that looked who they should have. But I did like the final shot. It was a bit predictable, but it should be interesting how that plays out.

While Cobra Commander didn't looked that great, I really liked the look of the Doctor. I still really want that figure! Just can't seem to find his wave yet. Closest thing as been his picture on the back of Flash's card.

The Doctor would have been pretty cool had he turned out to be Dr. Mindbender instead of Cobra Commander (still one of the lamest things in the whole film). Instead, though, Mindbender is in the movie... played in a cameo by Sommers' teacher's pet and the actor with the most annoying voice of all time: Kevin J. O'Connor. :banghead

Cameo in this one but never killed-- sets up his possible presence in the sequel. I haven't analyzed the movie to death or poured over notes-- much has been said already... It was nowhere near what I think a G.I. Joe movie could/should be-- but it had a few saving graces (most notably Zartan's portrayal, Storm Shadow, and the Baroness-- until she was effectively neutered)... I will say that the Duke/Baroness/Rex background was poor writing and the Snake Eyes/Storm Shadow feud through flashbacks was also poor (at least they didn't have Snakes get hit with boiling french fries to explain his mask--at least that portion was left a mystery).

I also absolutely hated the fact that Ripcord and Scarlett had the romance-- it robs all of the pathos from Snake Eyes--where it should be. That's Scarlett's true love interest. It's a shame that although Ray Park physically did a great job when he was on screen as Snake Eyes, the character was effectively flat. The horrific flashbacks did nothing for him... A love for Scarlett (and not a brotherly protective one) that cannot be (and his injuries maybe due in part in saving her--as it was in the comic) would have been much more powerful... But then we wouldn't have had a Wayans on the screen.
