No doubt this has been a really fun group project to see develop. I'm still in need of the TB parts, but its awesome to see how good the final product can look :rock

sad thing is I don't even know what a dremel looks like. :lol

It's a handheld rotary tool like this:

Dremel is actually a brand name, so mine isn't actually a dremel, but it is a "rotary tool." I believe I got it at Target along with a case and a bunch of bits for under $20. It's invaluable for certain types of projects.

In this day and age it would awesome if someone could post a video of how to dremel the armor and remove the midsection from the DiD body. Too much work?

If its any harder than trying to fix a broken Art Buck neck with an exacto knife, I had better find someone with a dremel. :lol

It's really easy... dremeling is fairly intuitive, as long as you go fairly slow you should be in good shape. Remember you can always take off more, but if you overdo it that can be a problem :lol

I was thinking the same thing Craw until my brother walked in and saw Gimli next to Gandalf and Legolas and yelled "THAT IS NOT A DWARF!" Scale I guess is important to me (hence I stopped collecting Medi) and besides the means are there to make a Gimli as good (or possibly better) than Sideshow could have done with some mixing and matching of parts.

What are you all planning on doing with the extra bits left over? Garbage? Parting out? Throwing it in a drawer for spare parts?

I was able to make another TB "soft" by popping on the head of the roto and my daughter loves it so it's hers. As for all the stuff from the DiD, I'll probably just toss it unless someone here wants it. Just cover the shipping.

I'll probably just toss the extra bits in a drawer to be used later on for other stuff. Although I have a feeling most of the Roto figure will be scrapped as its not to useful for other projects.

I have begun. Gimli is stripped, head is off, and I have begun cutting the midsection off of the DiD body... I will post pics of the whole process. :D
