funny thing is I've made dozens of molds, each with many castings and aside from a few errant air bubbles this is the biggest problem I've had. I was suspicious of the materials I had on hand since they've been sitting untouched in half empty containers in my closet for awhile now. *Sigh* Glad I ran some test pieces. A few more hoops to jump through and I should have some viable casts...

It's like Gimli wandered into an Aliens movie.

Well figures, by the time I finally find one someone is making a cast :lol Is this just a straight recast, or is it altered in some way? Just wondering if something better than the Toybiz has appeared.

Nevermind... found the post, that does look better! Damn, oh well :lol I just scored a Toybiz Gimli off ebay for a mere $17.20 shipped :rock

:lol :lol and I actually found the post about the same time :lol

Looks really good, guess I'll see how I feel about the TB figure in hand before I decide what to do.

At least you can use the removable helmet off the TB figure, and that's a plus. Also, you might use the gauntlets and boots, although others seem to prefer the roto's articulated gauntlets over the TB's.

waiting on airplane now...

Brilliant EC!!!!

Galactiboy: EC sculpted a more accurate enlongated beard.

I lengthened the braids, extended the beard and added a neck. He's also cast in translucent flesh tint! :)

Holy Crap EC!!!!!!!!!!

That is fabulous!

When can I send you my money? :D

I'll post a for sale thread in customs.

An unpainted head will be $25 + $5 shipping.

If you want one, drop me a PM. It's a tricky piece to cast what with the braids and neck, so it will be fairly limited and I'm not sure how many I'll be able to cast.
