Thnx! I'll give it a shot. Maybe I will experiment on the DiD Gimli head 1st.
Excellent! Can't wait to see how it comes out.

The boots are lagging and will take longer, but the rest is basically done. I'm really excited to see how the cast comes out - what with the neck, beard and braids, it's an odd shape and will be a bit tricky to cast.
Hey, EC, any progress report on the head casting? I'm pretty much done with my Gimli, but I've stopped short of gluing on the head as I'd like to see your finished product before I make my decision.
The mold is ready. I had hoped to have pics of the first cast up by now, but got swamped with other things this weekend. Stupid other commitments. I'll post pics asap. I almost would've preferred sculpting a new head from scratch, it would've been just as much work and I would've been able to do the hair in a more realistic manner like Gandalf and gotten the size right rather than the pinheaded TB Gimli. Oh well, I'm pleased with the end result none the less.
WOW! can't wait Entropy, I'll definitely be getting one!
In terms of the resizing of the 'pinhead' head, could you try Hydrospan, or whatever it is?

Ha. Yes. That's the plan. Though hydrospan is a bit temperamental, esp when trying to increase things just a tad.
I don't think that's necessary as I only planned to increase the size a small amount. The helmet should still fit. I may not even go the hydrospanning route. The beard and helmet will help the head appear a bit bigger even if it isn't.

Even without the hydropanning I think it looks in scale as long as the helmet is on.
I don't think you need to bother, honestly.
The soft head looks close enough, and as you said with the extended beard it should look even larger.
I agree, I'm just a perfectionist.
I think you guys will really love the work I've done, if I can ever get it in your hands of course. Between the beard and the stripping of the paint, he looks much sharper, imo.
I usually just keep my work for myself or sell/give it to an individual. It'll be cool to share with my fellow freaks.

You're good man, EC. Thanks for doing that.
