Yeah - ebay prices are crazy. One of the employees said they got 2 cases Monday - 4 figures - and sold all 4 within an hour. I went this morning and they were just putting out another 2.

Picked up the Jakks Godzilla this morning at TRU. Huge and pretty cool - a nice toy. My son is already destroying his Star Wars figures and Lego sets. Flashbacks of the Shogun Godzilla when I was little. I still definitely want a SH Monsterarts version.

I wish the damn jakks figure wasnt so hard to find. i dont know why they didnt release more on launch day. Ebay dudes are selling this for more than whats its worth.

There were 2 at TRU today, I picked one up for my son to beat around.

The Jakks figure is pretty cool. I picked one up on Thursday. The box presentation with the kid playing with Godzilla and the overall design kind of remind me of a toy from the 70's. Pretty neat. The spines could be a little bigger and I wish it didn't have the speaker box slits for the sound feature they must've decided to leave out, but overall I'm really enjoying it. Especially since I got it for a little more than $40 with the coupon.

Lol Everytime they pop online at the true store they sell out quick. I'd knew this be the most popular godzilla figure since Bandai put out craptastic figures that nobody wants. the jakks is bigger and looks more like the movie. Next time I get paid if this isnt out in stores I may as well just get it off ebay from those damn scalpers.

I don't suppose it would be well received to point out that there is a real species called"Titanosaurus"that looks absolutely nothing like this beast(it's a sauropod).Striking a blow for real science...PS

What are you after, film accuracy or size, because you don't really get both with either. JAKKS gives you the biggest Godzilla for this movie you'll ever get, best case, NECA does an $18 one but that's still 6 inches shorter than JAKKS. On the other hand, JAKKS softened a lot of detail and reduced the size of his spines where NECA's was done partly using 3D scans from the film and is far more accurate.

I want accurate so my money's going to NECA. It's $50 for JAKKS and same for NECA's 24" HTT figure, so it's a matter of which you'll feel better about spending that money on.
