Shin had one, if not the, best radioactive breath reveals ever. I think the details like the face in the tail and humanoid monsters and their link to the goro maki character fascinate people as well.

Loved it when the light slowly traveled up his tail.

Between X-Plus and monsterarts I've spent over $2K on Shin collectibles.

Yeah, well the RIC is going to cost me $949 then. Just realized how insane that is.

Still cheaper than the Iphone X lol

Shin won me for he's so similar to '1954. A monstrosity of nature created unwillingly by man that could destroy us all. Well... it was the movie that fascinated me to be precise. When you're in a similar kind of job, you couldn't help but impress how Anno perfectly captured "tones" and "feelings" you got everyday. :lol
And my Koto Shin display is now 100%. I realized that floating shelf couldn't handle giant acrylic case's weight so I bought new desk just to display it. -_-;

BTW I think X-Plus gigan Shin looks good as it is. Otherwise, IF you got some experience in painting you could mini-repaint it. But only if you know exactly what you're doing. So it's not recommended IMO.

PS I'm interesting to see how production items of Ric turns out. His shelf is ready (well, THAT floating shelf). Might mod it with LED to be this year's Christmas tree. :lol

I only like ShinG because he's a very interesting looking "what if the original was made today" design.
I don't like the movie. I don't like purple breath. I don't care for the humanoids-from-tail crap.

Do you own the giant Kotobukiya? There's simply no match for that sculpt. Maybe the Banpresto beign a fraction of the size. But, for me, if you own that one, there's simply no need to have another Shin, as no other will even come near in detail size and accuracy

Just got back from my birthday party........ with X-Plus' 1993 MechaG!!!

Ok. I'm oh so slightly disappointed by the new Gigantic Shin images... admittedly, the coloring could/should be better for this price tag... but what troubles me even more: the upper part of the head seems to stick out too far
It's very inaccurate for sure.
Then again, Gigantic 1995 one was stylized too so it's not unexpected.
I kinda like how they've made him closer to the classic look actually.
But the coloring should've been better, yeah... :(

reminds me a bit on the Neca (which I hate) :gah:

Well... I always thought X-Plus gigantic Shin was meant to be Ric and this pic proves my thoughts even further. The pose looks weird (to me at least) and could've been much better if the roaring head was included. Like I said, it should've been 3 heads from the beginning: closed mouth + roaring for normal ver., and split mouth-atomic-breath for Ric.
Not that it looks bad though. I'm sure this piece will be stunning in person. It's bigger than Burning Goji for sure and that thing is already BIG.

Yes, but I already PO'd Ric before I got a chance to get my hands on Koto's kits so I still need to get it. At least it's in completely different pose and color. I'm 100% sure it'll be fantastic after mini-repainted and LED modded. :love

. . .

Some paint chip and bubbles but overall I'm very happy.
Been dreamin' about 30cm MG93 figure since my schoolboy years.
Worth the wait! :D

Love that he has detailed inner mouth with canons:

And he's pretty big, 34-35cm actually.

I NEED to make Miki in a pilot suit now. :monkey2

That's the Gow Row kit from a number of years ago. Glad to see they're doing the monsters from the Mothra series.
